There was this TV show in the 1990's called Sliders. A smart college or grad student, Quinn, had invented a device that opened portals to parallel worlds. He, one of his professors, a female co-worker, and a random guy off the street who was a washed up singer from a Mo-Town type group decades before, get sucked into a glowing blue wormhole Quinn opened with a remote control.
They go from parallel world to parallel world where history happened a bit differently.
In one world, they come out of the wormhole and soon the men find pretty young women flocking all over them like they are rock stars, touching them. A TV in a shop window say s Hillary Clinton is the president. The men get shipped off to a breeder facility.
In their world Saddam Hussein had released a biological agent that had wiped out most of the world's men. The women put the men in breeding facilities, and women who were young, pretty, and intelligent enough had to line up to use the men. The poor men were forced to copulate with women multiple times a day to keep the species going. As the professor commented, their world had no idea of artificial insemination. The men exercised, drank gross milk shakes to keep them fertile, and had to service the women.
On guy in the facility wants to get out to be with his wife. The sliders need to make it to the next wormhole to open up (which they use the device to activate), and so there are police hunting them down and a bit of action. Their plot to escape involved turning themselves in the Australian embassy. Australia had a rivalry with the US and were in a baby-making race. The US had poached one of their breeders. The professor turns himself in to the Australians as part of the plot, and when he is left in his quarters with a female guard, she starts to remove her jacket. He rolls his eyes--- not again! There is a chase of other characters into the local man's wife's apartment. The police knows men have been there by seeing a toilet set in the upright position.
Something I noticed about this episode is that there were working cars. It was basically our world of that era. Realistically, if almost all the men were gone, and they weren't allowed to work, what would the world be like?
Women tend to largely self-select out of being brick layers, work in auto repair shops, engineering jobs, and work as auto mechanics.
If men had been scarce for a decade, wouldn't we expect only older model cars, and few of them because only a small number of mechanics would be fixing them? Do you think the government would incentivize enough women to do that kind of work?
Would there be broken down cars clogging up the highways? Stacks and stacks of unopened pickle jars?
What would a world be like with no men in the workforce?

It would fall apart because men do most of the real work.
