I've never heard someone say a man was a loser for having an Indonesian wife. If people go around saying such things, maybe they shut up around me because my wife is Indonesian and is often mistaken, by Filipinos, for a Filipina. When she went to the Manilla airport, they acted weird and spoke Tagalog when she spoke in English until she said she was from Indonesia, then they apologized and spoke in English. They thought she was being weird by speaking in English instead of Tagalog.

I never heard that kind of comment before I got married either. My wife has gotten eyed or flirted with from time to time by white guys who found her attractive.

It's more about foreign wife from a poor country than race,the same stigma was extended to white men that married poor ukrainian and russian women during the 90s.Those women are just jealous and that We are not under their power and control,and they-as a collective group-cannot decide if we get love or get laid with a wholesome wife.

So are those who make such comments feminist v-loggers? I don't have any feminists that I talk about such things with. You also don't have to mention that your wife was poor, if she was. Mine was, but she was a poor college student and she has a degree.

I haven't heard people talk about how my wife must have been poor. Also, when we were young, we were probably a good match for looks, and she's retained her youthful look longer than I have.

If people see a woman and think she's beautiful and exotic looking they probably aren't thinking about her being poor before.

On a few occasions, my wife and I have met single men who seemed to be accomplished and she tried to match them up with her cousins or friends in Indonesia. She showed a couple of guys Facebook pictures. I can think of three of her cousins that were single the last I knew of, maybe four... and there were lots of cousins of her generation. Maybe 100. Three of them are pretty, btw, but some of them could be married.

Anyway, one guy she talked to said looks didn't matter. I said, "Looks don't matter. Have I got a girl for you!!!" He got kind of nervous and backed off from that statement. He said, "You are you going to match me with. I told him I was teasing him. I did actually have one of my wife's single friends in mind when I said it. She was a good friend to my wife, but not so easy on the eyes.

Fully agree with you, neither myself nor my wife (Asian, but not from Philippines) are 'beautiful people' but we are together since 45 years, healthy and financially secure.

Beauty, especially comparing these 2 pictures, means nothing.

One picture is clearly a model picture, with makeup, selected clothes and showing a woman who surely never did any hard work in her life.
Such women in general are not running after foreigners, they have already contact with various local men who have money.

I used ThaiFriendly for a month, but there were so many obvious scam accounts on there that I got tired of it and moved to Tinder. I think Date in Asia and PinaLove are under the same ownership as ThaiFriendly.

The best platform to meet girls who meet a minimum standard of attractiveness is probably Instagram, but that's the absolute worst for someone like me who doesn't have a fun social life to showcase on social media.
