This was once a noble project started by Winston, so noble and that speaks to so many people, especially men that Roosh stole his idea and ran with it, without Winston, there would be no Roosh. Winston could have been where Roosh was but settled for the Philippines and I suppose that wasn't a massively bad decision as he has got a lot out of it. A varied sex life, fun and a son and heir. I resent that he went all conspiracy theory and tried to turn this forum into such but it seems not enough people want to believe what he believes in.
Still, the message of 'Happier Abroad' resonates more now than it ever did, it is getting worse and worse back home for us all and it is NEVER going to get better - you need to get out, you need to make a plan, whether it is learning a language or a skill that will make you money abroad.
I am an English teacher albeit with a masters degree in it, I'll never be wealthy but I will never starve either. I have a passport and citizenship of another country, I never have to go back to the UK. Last time I was back there I saw more homeless people sleeping in the streets at midday (which you never used to see), more boarded up shops in the town centre, more angry and frustrated people - what we see in the US and Canada is coming to us real soon. Plenty of Americans and Canadians are leaving - if you think Donald Trump is going to make things better then you are a mug of the highest order, he will let you down just like Boris Johnson let the people down who voted for him.
Women aren't going to make you happier - happiness and contentment come from within - are there women abroad? Yeah, but they can't make your life better - happier abroad isn't about women or getting married or having kids unless that's what you want - happier abroad is about being free to go where you want and do what you like without anyone or anything weighing you down.
Not one person alive as beautiful as she/he is, has the ability to make your life better. That is down to you.
You need to make a plan TODAY, you need to save your money and make a viable plan to get out - I have done it and many others who have posted have done it @Shemp @Yohan @kangarunner and even @Winston have done it - you don't have to be super smart or super rich - you just need to want it and take a leap. Don't wait for the 'perfect' time because it aint coming and then it will be too f***ing late.

Re: Go and be 'Happier Abroad'
“The Men Who Don’t Fit In” by Robert Service
There’s a race of men that don’t fit in,
A race that can’t stay still;
So they break the hearts of kith and kin,
And they roam the world at will.
They range the field and they rove the flood,
And they climb the mountain’s crest;
Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood,
And they don’t know how to rest.
If they just went straight they might go far;
They are strong and brave and true;
But they’re always tired of the things that are,
And they want the strange and new.
They say: “Could I find my proper groove,
What a deep mark I would make!”
So they chop and change, and each fresh move
Is only a fresh mistake.
And each forgets, as he strips and runs
With a brilliant, fitful pace,
It’s the steady, quiet, plodding ones
Who win in the lifelong race.
And each forgets that his youth has fled,
Forgets that his prime is past,
Till he stands one day, with a hope that’s dead,
In the glare of the truth at last.
He has failed, he has failed; he has missed his chance;
He has just done things by half.
Life’s been a jolly good joke on him,
And now is the time to laugh.
Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost;
He was never meant to win;
He’s a rolling stone, and it’s bred in the bone;
He’s a man who won’t fit in.

Re: Go and be 'Happier Abroad'
Men who don't fit in need to reflect very carefully on the above lines and somehow incorporate a bit of steady plodding into their restlessness. In particular, steady plodding where saving some money is concerned, also plodding with regards to daily physical and mental exercise, tooth care, proper diet, other daily health activities. Being old and having accomplished nothing of note due to a chaotic life is no problem, because almost everyone is forgotten soon after they die, but being old and without any money is bad and old and poor and unhealthy is worse.
Re: Go and be 'Happier Abroad'
Correct, Frank! I do most things right but not everything but I am going strong at 52 but could improve and doing so as we speak but health is the one thing that cannot be bought. A lot of expats seem to cane the drinking and drugs - I wonder if our buddy @kangarunner partakes? The best way to expat is to live as clean and as healthy as possible.Shemp wrote: ↑November 13th, 2024, 2:24 amMen who don't fit in need to reflect very carefully on the above lines and somehow incorporate a bit of steady plodding into their restlessness. What is your diet when you're on the road and in places like Kyiv?
Re: Go and be 'Happier Abroad'
In my comment above, I wasn't suggesting that "Men who don't fit in" need to eat clean, because they typically won't. But they need to limit their excesses. So for example, @kangarunner is going to take his home remedy "medicines" regardless of what anyone here or any real doctor advises. The key for him is to alternate periods on "medication" with periods of sobriety. And then don't get fat. Even if the fat doesn't kill a person early, it typically wrecks their joints and otherwise makes their life miserable..
As for me, my diet is Mediterranean because that's what I like and what works as trail food (bread, cheese, peanuts, chocolate all easy to carry without refrigeration, I supplement with canned sardines and fruits and vegetables in town, and meat and eggs at restaurants). Conveniently, such a diet is also healthy. My main concern is avoiding fatness. Eating once a day, eating same foods every day, minimizing sugar and eating Mediterranean diet all help with avoiding weight gain. Pullups/chinups and certain yoga poses every morning also works as prevention for me, because these particular exercises become much more difficult after even one day of excess eating, so that I'm reminded to eat less the next day (by eating less bread and peanuts especially).
