Hope your Christmas was good. We are in Oregon and enjoying a clear crisp winter Christmas day. My 10 year old son is delighted with a rifle and scope for Christmas. It shoots 22LR , a perfect first gun. I think he might sleep with it tonight. Lol

I got my son a winchester 62 when he was 8. He got an air rifle when he was 6. Great gift for the boy. I have some pics of him as a kid battling to shoot at 6 in the squat with elbow on his knee and a serious look on his face  . Never mind your kid, dad must have huge grin as well.

I started him on 2 litre oros bottles at 15 metres and told him if I ever saw him shoot at something live I would make him eat it as you only shoot to eat or darkies threatening your family. Your never kill something for fun.

My favorite is the 2nd photo of Winston. I bet there is a story behind that one! lol.

I'm here in Europe, so no guns for me :/ I had to sell my 12 gauge when I left the states...This Christmas I bought myself an 8" tactical knife (for home), need to keep the sand-niggers out of our house after all (no offense if anyone is a good, non-muslim arab, my quarrel is not with you).

I also got myself a super-nice folder too. Illegal to carry around here, but....I only get a ticket if I am caught

Merry Christmas/Happy New Year all.

Well we just got back in the house, and we both did some grinning. We set up some water bottles and cans and plinked away about 100 rounds. He now knows how to wipe down the gun and clean the barrel.
He's one happy boy. Its cheap to shot. When I was a youngster my first gun was a Mauser model 98, with military ammo. It was a lot harder to find a place to shoot it!
