It just shows how backward and dumb so many things are in America. Hazing at fraternities. It's not just stupid, but it shows a dark side of young people that they want to put fraternity pledges through weird rituals and painful initiation. Young people should want to learn for the sake of learning and building critical thinking and the ability to think on ideas independently.
Now the young guy is apparently paralyzed.Danny is back in his hometown in the Minneapolis area, living with his family. He experienced brain damage and is unable to see, walk or talk — but he can hear.
On another note, over here in Asia, the students here are happy and cheerful and want to learn. Nothing like hazing goes on here at all. The young people cooperate with each other and everyone here gets along.Santulli’s story is far from over. Loved ones went on to file a civil lawsuit against the fraternity and 23 members. It was settled for an unspecified amount in 2022.
In May of this year, Ryan P. Delanty of Manchester, Missouri, pleaded guilty to supplying liquor to a minor and misdemeanor hazing, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Santulli’s “pledge dad” was sentenced to six months in jail, KRCGTV shared. According to the outlet, he will also spend six months on house arrest.
Another fraternity member, Thomas Shultz of Chesterfield, Missouri, previously pleaded guilty to supplying liquor to a minor. He was sentenced to 30 days in jail, two years of probation, and ordered to perform community service and complete a drug and alcohol education program.
The difference in how Asian people are and how Americans are is like being on a different planet.
