Are American Equivalent to bad boys in some areas?

I guess here is my thing: that in normal areas where women are conservative, the open up for for Anglo-country people. Is this because we are seen as forbidden fruit? Or something else? Is it similar to our own countries' "bad boy" that seems to attract women, or am I missing the memo? Any thoughts?
