Here are a select amount of countries that are by suicide rate

While some countries have a understandably higher suicide rate then others, like Japan where they have high pressure and little room for mistake due to shame, others I wonder why such as like Lithuania, Scandanavia and others.
Its not to mention we all have personal struggles in life. However I think that option is something that is the last of the last option to think about.
What are some factors that explain why some countries have higher suicide rate then others?
suicide rate in various countries and cultures

In my opinion, one key mistake that Westerners make when discussing the subject is to chalk it up to mental illness universally, and to insist that everyone else follow suit. There are cultural and life-related factors that cause it in many cases, the Japanese "face" thing being one example. It's not always a case of "clinical depression" and "medical emergency"; I think that that approach is somewhat misguided.
