Hi,
I don't visit this forum very often but wanted to bring to your attention an interview with Australian demographer Bernard Salt who explains the dynamic of sex ratios on the dating market.
I know many of us are interested in the science behind dating success and sex ratios. Generally, things are extremely tough for young men, but become easier for older men.

Pay attention to 0:59 where he explains why men in their 40s are in short supply. He coined a comedic term called "Hotness Delusion Syndrome" about the fact that middle-aged men are deluded about their attractive because they're chased by women.
Hopefully some members will find this useful (I didn't previously understand why there were less single men in their 40s -- turns out it's because they repartner quickly).
