To top it off, my son, after being relieved that he probably wouldn't have to buy the urn asked me what I wanted done with the ashes because, "I'm not taking them to the Philippines or Africa, if that's what you want." I assured him that Janet would take care of things. Aren't kids great

He's 18 and smart but hasn't yet put it together that I will be out of Dodge long before my demise.

It was a fun conversation and I don't blame him a bit for any of it. He's frugal with his money which I think in the future is a very good thing. Janet laughed hysterically when I relayed the conversation - that in itself made it all worth it.
