My hometown's murder rate

On a recent Tucker Carlson show he pointed out that Baltimore’s murder rate was slightly higher than El Salvador’s at about 51 per 100k. Over the last few years, my hometown has consistently had about 5 murders a year. The population is about 5000, but if you include the rural area around it, you would say maybe 10000. Hence if you work that out, my hometown has a murder rate about on par with Baltimore and El Salvador. Interesting. I seem to have been right to move.

If he did, it would be very interesting as to if the kids looked up to him or if he would be the next murder victim. I have no idea which would be the case.
