It depends on airfare restrictions. Are airlines restricting travel over this virus? If so, how and in what way? And which routes? I'm sure travel to Europe or South America is ok right? It should only be Asia that has problems. Isn't this going to ruin the world economy or damage it?

Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
I'd avoid China for now, there is hardly anything f***ing open!

Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
Isn't that gonna wreck the Chinese economy and its unstoppable growth?
Maybe this will be like the Black Death of Europe in 1348. It killed off a third of the population but in a way it was a blessing in disguise because after that, there was a lot more land and wealth to spread around and the overpopulation problem in Europe was solved. Sometimes nature will do this kind of thing for us. Other times our ET overlords do it as population or cattle management. Nature even starts forest fires to clear out too much foliage condensed together. It even says so in a government museum that I saw in Capitan, NM at the Smokey the Beat visitor center and museum.

Well, leader Xi went on TV over the weekend and told everyone on the news to get back to work and in fact - the local governments are laying on free shuttle buses and trains to get the migrant workers back to work because few people are venturing out (better than it was a few weeks ago when there was hardly anyone out...) but still, most shops are shut and all the eateries are shut except for McDonald's, Burger King and KFC.Winston wrote: ↑February 23rd, 2020, 11:06 pmIsn't that gonna wreck the Chinese economy and its unstoppable growth?

They're saying the Chinese economy should recover in the second quarter but they need to get back to work now - if they leave it any longer it might cause damage - but even if they do - it should recover in the mid to long term.
Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
Either way, China was a fool to think that it can use its nerdy smarts and linear logic and shrewd rat-like strategy to overcome the US as the dominant world power. No way. The US has secret technology, pacts with Satan and ET's, occult esoteric secrets, crashed UFO technology, the Rothschild bankers funding it, the Illuminati behind it, etc. So the US has far more deeper methods at winning wars and bringing down countries that China could never have dreamed of. The US elite and secret masters play 3D or 4D chess. China was only playing 2D chess and had no idea of the big picture. China was a fool to think it could win against the New Atlantis (which is America's name among secret societies since the 1600s). Anyone who fights the Rothschilds or Illuminati goes down one way or another, if not by conventional means then by hidden unconventional covert means. The US could even create hologram planes to hit the WTC. So it can do anything and has technology far beyond other nations, according to many top military insiders and whistleblowers.
Did you know Satan or Satanic forces do not even need to hire hitmen to take out someone or arrange an assassination? If you watch the movie "Devil's Advocate" with Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino, or the Omen movies, you will see that Satanic powers can make a series of "unlucky unusual coincidences" happen together at the same time, or in a string, to take out someone it deems a threat. This may be what happened to Brandon Lee or Princess Diana, because those assassinations seemed too freakish and would have required too much perfect planning if done by humans, and too many things could have gone wrong in such an elaborate plot. So the powers that be can just use Satanic forces to create a series of unlucky freakish coincidences in a row to take out someone. Just watch the movies I mentioned and you'll see what I mean.

Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
The thing is - where are the companies going to go? Because they're all here and they like the fact that they can pay their workforce cheap and that there is no union representation allowed so the companies are in China for a reason - they certainly don't give a f**k about authoritarian governments because they wouldn't be in Vietnam either.MarcosZeitola wrote: ↑February 25th, 2020, 10:50 amA lot of companies have been looking for years now to see if they can produce their products outside of China in other cheap nations with less fickle and authoritorian governments. The corona virus and China's hapless, ineffective and late response to the outbreak after first censoring the knowledge for weeks has caused a lot of companies to ramp up their search for alternative routes of production. China is still a huge player, and will continue to be one, but over-reliance on a single market is never a good thing. Especially not when said market is run by a ridiculously paranoid Communist dictatorship that can eject companies and foreign nationals at a whim.
I do hope, perhaps against better judgement, that this whole mess will mark an economic decline for China and a lessening of its financial and political influence abroad as China has a lot of ill-blood in many neighboring countries including the Philippines.

I know what you're saying though - this latest crisis has been a blight on the face of the Chinese government and especially after SARS and bird flu - the government has FINALLY made it law to stop the selling and eating of f***ing snakes and rats and whatever the peasants here eat who they then pass onto the wider population - it has ground this country to a halt - it is about time these medival practices were stopped - should have been stopped a long time ago instead of the government turning a blind eye to it.
As for the political and economic decline of China - I just don't think that's going to happen - all they have done is took over from the Americans in a lot of Africa and Latin America who in turn took over from the Europeans - none of them have been benefactors to the people who they lorded it over - if China went - there will be someone else to take their place - a return of the Americans or various European powers? Global capitalism has always been an evil uncompromising bitch.

I just thought about that after returning from Taiwan a couple of weeks ago. I've been taking 3-week trips to countries in Asia on an annual basis but if the Coronavirus is still causing problems with air travel, most everyone is still wearing masks in public and there are temperature checks to enter various buildings, I may just stay in the U.S. The PNW is beautiful, so I could spend 2-3 weeks looking around Oregon and Washington state.

Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
When you think about it, the VAST majority of flights will be full of people who are not infectious. Most people who travel will be fine. The key is to ensure you are traveling to locations what have great healthcare.
I was planning to go to Scandinavia and Finland this summer. I would prefer to be there than in the United States to get Covid-19 treatment!
Worse case scenario is that you get it and it turns out to be like a bad case of the flu. Big whoop!

I have a job in Thailand that starts in May. I don't know if I'll go. There's just too much risk with travelling, border runs and the contract itself.
If I get a job in the UK before then, I'll stay on my island.
I don't know if the virus will take hold in Thailand, but when I was there last month the air pollution was horrible and the women are just self absorbed with extracting money from farangs and seeing how many thousands of cocks want their overvalued p***y.

The virus itself doesn't appear to be all that bad if you are already healthy. They keep saying the symptoms are mostly like a case of the flu or a bad cold. I think the bigger risks are being put into quarantine for 2 or 3 weeks, lots of flights being canceled, and the potential economic repercussions. Have to admit though, sitting in the closed environment of an airplane for 12-15 hours with hundreds of unknown people isn't very attractive right now.

If I were planning an international trip, my main concern would be if the airports were blocked off to travel from certain countries and I got stuck outside of the country. My wife was talking about flying out to see her dad, but we decided against it because she could get stuck where here dad lives if the government shut down the airports.

Sitting in an airplane for 12-15 hours is never attractive. Flying sucks. You don't choose who sits around you. Sometimes it's an obese person, a smelly person, a chatterbox who will not shut up, or someone who regularly hits the back of your seat. Then it is next to impossible to sleep on flights since you are sitting in an uncomfortable seat which barely reclines.Mr Natural wrote: ↑March 4th, 2020, 12:10 pmThe virus itself doesn't appear to be all that bad if you are already healthy. Re: Should people avoid traveling for the year?
The silver lining to all this is that flights will not be full, first and business class will be slashed in price, and travel will be a relative pleasure than usual.
