Water or Toilet Paper-- Bidet

Post by MrMan »

I've put one bidet in the house. I've just ordered another. If it's good, I may purchase two more.

During the chicken and toilet paper shortage of 2020, a bidet came in handy. We stocked up on toilet paper before the shelves ran out, but bidets still helped us not use too much. We bought some, and we probably need some more TP, but I'm still planning on installing bidets.

I had an expat friend who lived in Indonesia who said he thought it was gross at first, but he converted to using his left hand and water. He said he felt cleaner, and that layer of water kept it off your hand. And it washes off with soap-- here, smell my hand." He could be gross at times.

I prefer bidet plus paper with no hand contact. It decreases TP usage. Aside from the hand part, it is cleaner to use a bidet. Clean up can take less time.

With supply chain shortages, we could see another TP crisis at any time. The prices of bidets skyrocketed last time. They weren't too expensive online the last I checked. Be careful. I once bought one online that does not fit a US toilet.

Those hose attachments they have in some places such as Cambodia when I was there are probably the best.

A stainless steel kitchen sink hose... but on the toilet.
