It really looks like a beautiful city! Anyone check flights to Memphis yet???

As a matter of fact, while I was laying down in my quiet 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment with balcony (with access to 2 outdoor swimming pools) that I pay $250 / month for in District 9, Thu Duc (outside the busy center of Saigon).... (VIDEO)

I went to a local Memphis news site, https://wreg.com

and this is what showed on the front page of the news of this wonderful city!

Seriously, I encourage all of you to visit or move to Memphis, Tennessee. It's a vibrant and energetic city with so much to offer.

Let's take a look at all the things Memphis has to offer:

1) Apartment, power, and water cost totals $1,200+ / month !!!!
2) No car? No problem. Public transportation on city bus will take you minimum 1 - 2 hours to get anywhere. While you're waiting you can feel the existential dread and misery of this shithole seep into your soul.
3) Watch in awe how the local lemmings wear the local hometown team blue color as they all go to the stadium to cheer on the sports team, "Memphis Tigers". Fun fact: The tiger is nowhere to be found in North America. It's an animal native to Asia. But the idiots of Memphis still call the Tiger their "mascot".
4) Unfortunately, we're not living in the 1800s anymore. But if we were, you could buy and sell slaves on Main Street. The slaves would live in your home in Memphis or on your plantation.
5) "KIng Cotton" used to be a thing in the South. Slaves would pick cotton. Southerners will know this phrase: "Take your cotton picking hands off that."
6) Enough with the wonderful and bright history of Memphis. Let's move on to present day....
7) Northern America: Current Crime Index by City: https://www.numbeo.com/crime/region_ran ... region=021

8) What city is at the top of the list??? Oh, it's Memphis.
9) Need a break from city life? Well, there's plenty to do. You'll have access to zero coast/beach/oceans and zero access to any kind of hiking mountains. Love hiking canyons and mountains like the people in Utah or out West? There's none of that in Memphis. You'll enjoy the shitty misery of racial tension between blacks and whites, the everyday boring monotony of living in a city where people have no intellectual curiosity of the world.
10) World famous Beale Street downtown! It's basically nothing.
11) I love how Elon Musk built the AI supercomputer in Memphis.
12) People have a lot to talk about there. Right now, I'm literally trying hard to figure out why someone would want to live there if they had a choice and financial means to live anywhere in the US.

f***ing shithole took away over 25 years of my life that I'll never get back.

Memphis has high reported overall crime rate but many crimes are underreported, so better to focus on murder, where there is very little underreporting. My hometown of New Orleans has always been near the top in murder rate and frequently is number 1, and indeed New Orleans was once again number 1 in 2024, at 58.4 per 100K population, whereas number 5 Memphis had a measly 32.6.
