Why the spate of racial slurs of Asians in receipts?

Kisuk Cha Sues Hooters In Queens For Racial Discrimination Stemming From 'Chinx' Receipt

Calling Asians Racist Slurs on Fast Food Receipts is Now a National Trend
http://colorlines.com/archives/2012/01/ ... trend.html
I post these stories because of the comments from Americans (both Black, Hispanic, and White) regarding racism towards Asians. Look how the comments are filled with posts ridiculing and not taking seriously--racism against Asians. There's tons of racist comments about Asians as well in the comments section as well. Why is racism against Asians not taken seriously in the United States? Any time a story of a racial incident against Asians appears in the news, the comments are filled with dismissive views about Asians. Why is that?
And don't give me the typical racist answer that "Asians (living in Asia) are racist, so its okay to discriminate back against Asians" b.s. argument. The race problem is one reason why I want to leave the country and live somewhere else. Asians (particularly Asian men) are not respected in the U.S. or any other Anglo country.

Here's a news article about a Black customer who received N-word receipt from restaurant:
http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sideshow/bl ... 47883.html
Notice that the comments section is filled with bitter, racist Whites who are mostly dismissive against the Black customer, and trying to find excuses for the discrimination, yet, some of the comments are in support of the Blackman and condemning racism--something that is missing from the comment section about Asians. Why is that?

Lack of numbers and organization, in places where there are few of them.zboy1 wrote:Why is racism against Asians not taken seriously in the United States?
Lack of activism in places where there are many of them.
Hispanics & Blacks have high numbers of "regulars" plus people (entertainment industry) who can bring attention to various issues (whether or not you feel the issues are relevant).
Jewish people are small in number, but make up for it in their law & lobbying organizations and occupations in media. They can channel lots of attention or money to or away from an issue.
Asians lobbying organization? :crickets:

Yeah, Asians just aren't vocal enough about issues, unfortunately. That's why Asians will never be treated with respect in Anglo countries.Teal Lantern wrote:Lack of numbers and organization, in places where there are few of them.zboy1 wrote:Why is racism against Asians not taken seriously in the United States?

Hey, man. At least you can pull the racial card on people if they give you any problems. In my case I can't even do that.
Apparently, it's perfectly fine and socially acceptable to mock and berate Russians in every single action movie, on radio and television with noone ever raising a stink. Even though they are 'not considered' white-white as per the colonial racial hierarchy and the nordicism superiority theories they are Caucasian, which makes them fair game for insults.
Can't wait to move the f**k up outta here and burn my passport.

Jusqu'au bout a tout prix..
Start making plans to get out. It is as simple as that. Find out where you should go and start making practical plans. Money, job, passport, etc. If you continue living in this toxic environment, you will just keep getting more and more bitter. Screw that. Life is too short to spend it on this nonsense.
I remember I called Pizza Hut in Thailand to order pizza- in Thai. They started guffawing on the other end, barking "farang farang!" with so much bile and hatred I was wondering why they had it in them. And it was a US franchise. I had to call the manager and file a complaint. Nothing happened.
At least in America you have the Ying and the Yang. There, it is just the Ying.
Same in Japan. So I got out of those places.
Anyway, we have established the problem. So, what are your plans? Just to vent and bring up the problem again? What strategy are you working on now? Please share your plans.
No, it is not OK to discriminate against Asians, but the difference is that in the US the restaurants will be sued, the victims will get paid, the culprits will be fired as you can see. So, there is some kind of recourse. No one will be fired in Asia, the restaurant will not be sued and if you are mocked and treated like dirt there, there is no recourse of any kind. And don't give me the typical racist answer that "Asians (living in Asia) are racist, so its okay to discriminate back against Asians" b.s. argument. PS. A friend of a friend who had lived in China for years and spoke fluent Chinese would go to Chinese restaurants in the LA area and would often hear waiters/ owners/cashiers talk to each other about him in Chinese- "did you serve that white pig yet? " and other slurs. He would explode in Chinese at them at which they would be totally shocked.
One Colombian student of mine went to a Korean restaurant to eat in LA again and they asked her what country she was from- she said Colombia- they kicked her out. Just like that.
And the classic one is this- in Monterey Park, CA- a Korean guy tells me-" some foreigners came to our restaurant yesterday"
"Who were the foreigners? "- (I thought maybe they were
some Japanese tourists)
"Americans" -said the Korean guy.
These are just some examples of what some Asians do and say in the US and there is nothing happening. No lawsuit, no public attention, no compensation for loss of dignity. Nothing.
White racist- rebuked and punished; victims compensated. Asian racists- nothing. Just go on with thier lives.

Bullcrap! You speak and understand any Asian languages, Ladislav. Your prejudice towards Asians shows throughout your many posts. Should I tell you what happened to me growing up by Whites? Getting attacked by a group of skinheads, called racial slurs out-of-blue by racist Blacks, Hispanics, and Whites? Getting told by an elderly white women that they would not hire me because I'm Asian. I could go on and on...so what's your fu*kingladislav wrote:PS. point?! Everyone is racist--and the situation is worse in many Anglo countries, that's not news.
Yes, I do understand some Asian languages- Thai and Japanese in particular. I must admit one thing- Asians do not, with very few exceptions, practice violence against white people or foreigners in general except for specific events like Boxer's revolt, etc. What is my point? To expose what the other side is saying, as well. I am not justifying anything on anyone's front.
And, precisely, there are negative emotions and prejudice on both sides. On all sides, that is. It is just that I am exposing more of what is coming from the other side because I spent so much time in that environment.
Prejudice means- Pre-judge. I am not pre-judging. I am reporting after the fact- after what I have heard, etc.
In Japan no one would rent to me. And they have bars with no Americans/no foreigners allowed signs. So, why am I the one pre-judging?Where is the pre- part of it? It is mainly post-, not pre-.
Just warning people about those places and the rosy dreams they have about them.
Why is that bullcrap?
Sorry about what happened to you. But the law is on your side. You could sue. What could I have done?

Yes, I can read the Japanese. I was a scholar of the language and the culture for 7 long years.
Here it says- Entry forbidden to Foreigners, Drunkards, and Gang Criminals. That is a hotel.
Where is the UN? Why wasn't this brought up at the last Conference on Xenophobia, Racism, etc.? Not a word.

And you can read this article, as well
http://thethreewisemonkeys.com/2011/10/ ... read-aids/
Why am I pre-judiced? Where am I pre-judging? Exposing racism in Asia and the prejudices and xenophobia is being prejudiced?
Such signs are mostly in Asia.

Oh, isn't this just lovely!

So, my point? Just like your point is to expose white racism, etc., which is a laudable effort, mine is to expose Asian racism.

A march in Tokyo," white pig go home?" Where is the international rage? Can you imagine a march in any Western country with shouts "yellow pig go home? " It would be in Newsweek and on TV and there would be an uproar.
But here, nothing. How come?

Ladislav, you're starting to become my favorite person. This is pretty much the entire premise of why I'm planning to go to the Philippines. I don't want to be viewed as a second-class neutered male in this society.ladislav wrote:Start making plans to get out. It is as simple as that. And they called me Kano and Mirkano at hotels when talking about me in 3d person while I was in front of them- and they were arranging for me to check out of the hotel.
In Japan I was in a movie as an extra and saw the documents with instructions and they referred to me as a "gaijin"
In Thailand I was called a farang teacher.
I was in Honk Kong in February and the owner of the hostel was talking about me to others on the phone and it was gweilo, gwelo, mumble mumble gweilo.
Should I take them to the International Court of Human rights?
What's up with all these Asian people, calling me an outsider, a ghost man/foreign devil, Yankee, etc.,? Can dish out but can't take it?
And they just called him a China Man? Is that supposed to be an insult? How about England Man- is that an insult, too?
