Rock, is correct. Pinays never want to walk anywhere, not even 50 feet!

I would not put up a page against this girl unless you want to get killed. Her riff-raff relatives will just kill you for the hell of it. Maybe just rough you up first to get some money. I wouldn't be doing anything to cause her to lose face with friends and family. Where can a foreign guy hide in Angeles City? Impossible.
It may be a fake iPhone. Or it may not be hers. The phone she had was a really basic one. All the girls on Fields Ave claim that they can't even afford to buy a barbecue stick or burger. I don't know why. But I doubt on their low salary, which mostly gets sent to their parents, they could afford a real iPhone.

She told me she works at a Korean restaurant and makes 480p a day, which is above average for a waitress job. She even named the restaurant. I wonder if that's true. Why would she need me to help reimburse the 1200p she lost in her purse then?

Rock wrote:Yes, it was very stupid of her to give u her Facebook. But wht. do u expect in a country where the average IQ is around 85? She's probably being controlled by her boyfriend or family member and doesn't even think, just does as she says.

Winston, do not start a campaign attacking her. If one of her Facebook friends discovers it and it gets back to her people, u will have to watch your back around there. Angeles is a small place and yr. high profile, both online and as an expat in Angeles. She's guilty of participating in an attempted robbery/scam just like thousands of other local girls are. But an online campaign will do nothing other than possibly create new enemies for yourself. Just let sleeping dogs lie.
I guess you're right. However, I don't seem to be high profile in Angeles anymore. Nearly everyone I knew here has left and no one recognizes me on the street anymore. Faces change fast here. People don't stay here for long, understandably.

Plus, an online page about her wouldn't hurt her anyway because she has no professional reputation to protect, and probably no job prospects anyway.

However, my friend Stefan used to put up a lot of webpages attacking a lot of Filipinos who scammed him in some way, but nothing ever happened to him.

Btw, regarding the attempted pickpocketing of the dirty beggar kids, I'm not sure if that was staged or not. Why would they do that? Using kids to pickpocket is not effective. Why didn't they use big guys instead? Maybe that wasn't part of their setup?

Next time dirty beggar kids start following or touching you, is it a good idea to kick them? Don't you have the right once they start grabbing you?

Rock recently lost his Amazon Kindle, he said. Not sure how though. I wonder why he doesn't try to push beggar kids away or hit them. When they chased us before, he didn't do anything or get aggressive with them like most guys would.

Also, what ticks me off as well was that yesterday afternoon, if my new expat friend hadn't kept talking so much and let me finish my project, then I wouldn't have been delayed and then I would have taken another jeepney and never met that ambush girl. So it's like one unnecessary delay causes several negative events, none of which would have happened if the delay hadn't happened in the first place. Stuff like that really irks me. Don't you hate it when that happens? When one delay causes a string of bad things which would never have happened if the delay hadn't happened? This kind of scenario causes me to be anal retentive about not letting interruptions interfere with the flow of things that I plan.

Some guys just can't stop talking or be concise. They just have to keep blabbering on and aren't aware of time or that I'm trying to work on something on my laptop. And I'm too nice to be firm and say "Ok I have to do something now. Talk to you later." And they can't seem to stop talking either. So many guys are like that. I hate it, especially when it causes everything else I planned to do that day to be behind schedule, so that what I was going to do at 4 or 5pm starts at 7pm instead, and everything afterward is late by two hours and so forth. I really really really HATE THAT!!! It totally screws up the order of things and causes my blood to boil. How are other people not as bothered by that kind of thing?

Here is a photo I took of me and the ambush girl with my smart phone. She was reluctant to have it taken for some reason. Doesn't it look so romantic? Doesn't she look so innocent? lol

But if you didn't know anything about her, and you saw her, you'd think she was sweet and innocent too right? Now that you know about what happened, you are prone to be biased when looking at her photos right?

Btw, there are some shady looking characters on her friends list on Facebook. Check this out. Do these look like guys you would trust? lol Don't they look like the kind of people prone to petty crime? lol It's possible that one of these could have been on the motorbike that snatched her purse as part of the setup. In fact, I think I might have seen one of these characters standing outside on the street that we passed by just before the incident happened, or at least during the interim between the dirty beggar kids and the motorcycle snatching.

Winston- You are in AC...Fields Ave area and you meet this girl you think is sweet and innocent? LOL
Thinking with the wrong head there...much much safer and likely more accurate to assume a much much
lower outcome. Just a good thing it ended without any real harm. Be wise about that shit...and she has what I call...
those lying predatory eyes...at least that is my take on it.

She shakes that well worn poontang to set people up.

PS...Ginger and Rock...spot on.

Yeah but not every girl who walks through Fields is a whore. There are non-whores there too. That girl claimed to take college classes in the morning, work at a Korean restaurant in the afternoon and evening, and then go home afterward. She said she was just passing through, which I did find a little strange and asked why she didn't just take a second jeepney home. Plus, every man assumes that a petite girl like that could never hurt him.

@Winston,

I knew you never had street cred (i.e. street smarts in this context). Maybe you should have put away your "dark is bad, light is good" and start judging everybody for the content of their character.

White-washing can do a number to street smarts and innate judgement: money and intellectualism don't always keep the flies away from the rotting carcasses.

This is why, as a man, you ALWAYS LEAD, even if you don't know the area well. Men lead always!!!!

Winston, I was robbed before by someone I knew from school in a setup.

Why did they choose you? Because you look weak. That's why I'm telling you to lift weights and get stronger and athletic, first off, people will be less likely to pick you as a target for scamming/assault/robbery, and second off girls will like you better. Win win. Other people will recommend becoming more street smart/getting more social skills, whatever, but this is the easiest way, as the physical manifestation of you is much easier to change than your mind.

Korean

Post by air_king »

Winston, she looks like a girl into Koreans. u can tell by the way she has done herself up. those girls in AC are easily identifiable. she probably targeted you because she thought u were Korea. lets face it, the way a korean would react to that kind of scam and the way an expat would react is different. after living in Asia for so long among north-east asians, i can tell you that most of them will not resist in a mugging like that, they will just be docile and give in. and they will surely give the girl money afterwards. its called "shao ma-fan", meaning taking the route of least hassle. an expat would probably react the way you did...

Really? Ajoshis didn't seem like complete pansies for the most part to me. Maybe the ones that travel overseas are.

Should we then infer that everyone who's not East Asian prefers 多麻烦?

Air_king, just as a heads-up... if you come to SE Asia, it might be in your best interest not to resist getting mugged. Or you might just get stabbed to death for the effort. Alarming? Yes. But this kind of thing even happens here in the 'Land of Smiles' (Thailand) to say nothing of places like the Philippines, Vietnam, etc.

Winston wrote:Here are some photos of her from her two Facebook profiles linked above. As you can see, she looks totally cute, not like someone who would lead you into an ambush at all. She's probably not the mastermind behind it, just a participant.
If it was easy to tell every scammer by their looks, then very few people would get scammed. The world is full of hustlers looking for suckers. In their mind, your money is their money.

A cute face does not equate to innocence. In East Asia, young, cute, and innocent looking school girls would trick their fellow classmates to spend large sums of money at social events, get them in debt, then press them to work in prostitution.

Winston will never take this advice cause if you read some of his previous posts concerning exercise it's too much effort, time consuming and he doesn't like 'sweating'; so this scenario will never happen in this particular Earthly dimension. Perhaps Winston likes exercise in a parallel universe, but we have the opposite Winston here in this universe. There is no convincing otherwise, I've already tried. He'd be more apt and interested in using gimmicky health products or plastic surgery before he lifts a dumbbell or uses a treadmill regularly. That's the way it is, he is set in his particular thinking patterns nowadays for the most part.
