Questions about Zecharia Sitchin and NWO theories

Post by Winston »

I have a few things I wanted to ask.

Lately I've been watching some youtube videos about Zecharia Sitchin's Annunaki Aliens and Planet X (tenth planet) theories. And some Coast to Coast archived shows about it on youtube as well. What I don't get is how so many intelligent, well spoken, articulate people can make such loose connections between simple symbols and come up with fantastic theories like the annunaki were aliens that created humans with genetic engineering or that there is a 10th planet out there on a 3600 year orbit.

They don't even answer the most simple questions, like how could a planet x so far out there still be in orbit? Wouldn't it float away? Do you know if they have an explanation for that? I haven't found any.

Also, Sitchin claims that the symbol of two snakes coiled around each other looks like the strands of DNA in the same spiral, and therefore that's evidence of genetic engineering. Isn't that bizarre? I mean, a piece of licorice has the same spiral design, and so does the pole of a barber shop, but that doesn't mean it's symbolizing human DNA. What kind of thinking is that?

And these guys have the audacity to hope that someday, all this will be official canon? That's impossible, you need real proof for something to become official canon. No ancient myth, no matter how fantastic, is ever going to constitute enough proof to create a whole new official canon for the creation of humans on this planet. That's utterly unrealistic and impossible.

Even if this ancient astronaut theory were true, it could never be proven. I do not discount that it's possible though, since there are so many unknowns and unanswered questions about our origins, but either way, it can never be proven enough to become official canon just based on myths and archaeological evidence and loose connections between general symbols.

Doesn't Sitchin realize this? Or William Henry? (who happens to be a great writer and speaker)

I did hear them mention that human DNA has 23 genes that are not found in any other species, so they must have been created artificially. Is that plausible? And what about the fact that intelligence seemed to evolve really quickly and there there's a missing link in the evolutionary timeline? If that's true, isn't that scientific?

My next question is, what do you make of all those New World Order theories out there that are getting more popular. Do you believe there's any truth in them? Is it possible that a secret society is controlling the elite of the world? You don't discount that do you? Do you rule that out?

And how do you explain the secretive Bilderberg meetings that the elite attend every year but the media is not allowed to cover or even mention?

Winston,

These kinds of things are always a bit irritating to me when I read about them because they are such a waste of time. They are loaded with astronomical extrapolation errors where a small observation is expanded into a large theory that is only poorly supported by the original observation. Ironically, subjects like reincarnation have a much richer history of observations and careful investigation and yet it is, in some places, considered more ridiculous than the items you've mentioned.

Hi Winston and all,
As has been the case recently, I'll start by apologising for not writing much recently, as always, very busy, but I'll be around more at least for the next two weeks. Firstly, I am not particularly impressed by Zecharia Stichin and his interpretations of Mesapotamian writings, I find personally that writers like him do not have a very deep understanding of Spiritual Symbolism & Mythology, and this skews their understanding. The snakes wrapped around the pole for example is a universal symbol of Kundalini (references to Kundalini are found in almost all cultures), the story of the Garden of Eden which Stichin reinterprates from the origional Sumerian writings (which were later borrowed and changed into parts of Genesis) is clearly an allegorical telling of the descension of Consciousness from higher realms, corresponding with a descension of Kundalini down the Sahasrara (central column) to become dormant in most people. Similar myths are found in many different cultures.

It is conceivable to me that beings from other worlds (whether physical or non-physical) could have come here in the past and messed with us, but I would require serious evidence to convince me, something of which I have not seen. Certainly the UFO phenomena is genuine in some way, but the exact explanation for it is hard to pin down. Also there are artworks dating back quite along time which seem to depict some sort of spacecraft or flying saucers, and there are some myths which some like Star Wars to modern minds, but that's along way from being enought to seriously argue the case.

I have only breifly looked at the Planet X idea, but what I've seen is just trash, with a mountain of unexplained problems, and very poor reasoning used to argue for it. As for New World Order/ Conspiracy theories, I personally hesitate to comment too much at this point, I have certainly read much on the topic, but I don't know enough to articulate it properly. However, I have brought up discussion about the finance system with many people, and I'm yet to find someone that can really defend it. Most people just say that it promotes growth (assuming that economic/industrial growth is allways good, the modern day unquestioned dogma), and leave it there. So, I would say I definately think that there is something in it, particuarly related to finance and buisness, however, many of the writers in this field also fail to properly understand Spiritual Symbolism and Mythology. As Secret Societies are generally Occult schools, therefore it is hard to sort through the crap that is commonplace on the internet in relation to such topics. Alot of the writings in relation to these topics are written by hardcore Evangelical Christians, thus I have a very low opinion of the writings of these people. David Icke is interesting, some of what he talks about I can agree with, although I find it extremely hard to believe that the Queen is involved in bloody black magic rituals. The whole Reptillian thing would require some serious evidence to convince me, which so far I have not seen. I have watched a few testimonies of individuals that claim to have personally witnessed that kind of thing, and they have seemed extremely fragmented.

Certainly the mainstream media is just junk, you cannot trust them. Much of what is presented for mass digestion is pure propaganda. I noticed Michael Goodspeed is on this list (Michael, Hi. I've been reading and watching your work for a couple of months now, and I am very impressed with the quality of your work. You seem to be an individual with a high level of integrity, keep up the good work!)

Anyways, this will have to do for now, dinners ready.
Take care all,
God Bless,
Hari Om,
Jim

P.S. Late Merry Christmas everyone!

and his idea that sumerians knew all the planets of our system is bunk. The star surrounde by the 9 planets in a sumerian artifact is not the sun, as sumerians always drew the sun like a star enclosed in a cicle which is not the case in this particular artifact
