Tibetan Buddhism says this reality is one of the 7 Bardo States. Also this reality is ridiculous and nonsensical and doesn't make sense, like a dream. So you gotta wonder if this is some kind of dream or illusion. For example the US government spent trillions of dollars on the Iraq War and got nothing out of it. That money could have been used to make America a paradise. What a waste. It's too ridiculous to comprehend. No one is that dumb, unless it's all an illusion and made to sound ridiculous on purpose. This reminds me of the horror movie "Jacob's Ladder" where a man dies during the Vietnam War and thinks he's still in the real world. It was a very spooky movie.

I look back on the last twenty years of my life and I feel like it was all a dream. In my mind it feels similar to a dream, just hazy and not real. So, could life be a dream? I think so.

As for your critique of the American government investing in the Iraq war, that is something independent of our reality. That's stupid people with too much power doing stupid things. Their power is an illusion and doesn't actually exist in reality. So their actions and behaviour cannot be used as a critique for the material world.

As a side note, Jacob's Ladder is a fantastic movie! One of the best horror films I've seen. I think this movie was the inspiration for the Silent Hill games. They don't make horror movies like they used to...
