Strange premonitionary dream

Post by Cornfed »

A little over a week ago I had a dream where I was jumping on a trampoline (which I used to do all the time as a kid) on the lawn here. I dreamt that a couple of mangy, disease ridden stray dogs that intended to attack me appeared. I yelled at them to go away, but in the dream this didn't work. I considered jumping off the trampoline and beating them up, knowing that I would win, but I didn't want to get bitten and infected with diseases. Then more dogs appeared. I considered running for the house. Then yet more dogs appeared from all sides, and it was apparent that they were out to get me. I thought, oh well, there is no point trying to run or fight, but at least I am safe on the trampoline. Of course a dog tried to climb onto the trampoline and in both the dream and in real life I delivered two left jabs (hit the bed and woke myself up). Somewhat disturbing.

A couple of days later I remembered this dream and for some reason didn't want to sleep in my bed at night any more, so I slept on the couch. A couple of days after that it became apparent that the place was overrun with rats, an infestation the like of which I have never seen before. The rats had the run of a certain section of the house, including my bedroom, and there was evidence that they had scampered around on my bed. My response was to lay a huge amount of poison everywhere, and we seem to have finally wiped out all the rats.

The interpretation of the dream seems obvious - the dogs are rats and the trampoline is my bed. The dream saved me from having to sleep in a place where rats were running around.

Your dream made me think of Radagast the Brown:

But kidding aside, I really believe in the power of dreams. Not so much foretelling the future, but like a psychic, simply telling you what you know already on some level.

BTW when I got Pranic Energy healing from Ellen Morano in Los Angeles, I immediately started having meaningful, satisfying dreams that I was able to remember and write down.

That's pretty cool, thanks for sharing. I've had similar experiences with dreams. It's always an epiphany moment when dreams meet reality.
