if maya is a inherent attribute of God-Brahman then it cannot be shed and God doesn't have divine qualities and thus is not that ultimate.
if maya is created as an accidental event,then it cannot affect God/Brahman either.
if it's a independant necassery existent,it would be self-same as brahman wich is that ultimate,and would not exist,or just that brahman is self-same as maya wich means brahman is deluded inherently,wich is absurd.
