Satan-is he "winning"?

I know that a lot of Christians will answer "no", but let's look at how society is right now. The whole world is going to crap and if anything the Bible literally says that Satan is the "god" of this current society and he rules it, and his influence is the most dominant everywhere.

He perverted everything good like family and innocence of children and not just that it is destroyed for all eternity now. Why am I supposed to believe that he isn't winning?

I thought the mainstream belief was that Satan was the prince of this world at the moment.

In modern culture, the choice is between Satan and idols, and I prefer Satan to idols.
