Making Money with AI

Post by rudder »

Early days of the internet, dotcom bubble, bitcoin, even the early days of Uber. I missed the boat with them. I remember working at a pizza parlor part time when one of my coworkers talked about how he was making like $300-500 every night by driving for Uber. Fast forward about six months later and when I finally got around to it, a very good day with Uber, would only be about $100.

Now, we're in the early days of AI. I believe this will be like the early days of the internet. AI will completely change society. We can only guess as to what that will look like exactly, but as with the early days of all my other examples, I feel like I'm missing out on all sorts of opportunities that I should be taking advantage of. What are some use cases for it right now, where I could be making money? Before the late-adopters pile in, before the authorities start legislating away green opportunities etc. etc. Please tell me.

Here's one I came across: BookblitzAI. Not sure it's legit, and even if it is, I'm not sure how I'd feel about using something like that.

No. Nothing will come of AI. People will see it for what it is. Fake crap .

On the other hand you're going to see automation take over. There will be no taxi drivers. It will be all robo taxis.

Within 20 years you will not be able to drive your own vehicle. It will all be automated. The same in restaurants. There will be robots taking your order and delivering your food. There will be no jobs. It will all be automated.

You won't have to worry about anything. Your government will take care of you.

Fake Crap? It generates higher quality copy than what typically takes me days to write, and it does it in less than a second. If you're banking on maintaining an income based on an information-related career, you might want to start drafting a backup plan.

Hoping I'm not casting pearls before swine, here's another handy resource, if you're interested in having a full website in minutes: v0.dev
I'm not sure if that's all that can be done on that platform. I would like to see some of you website creators build a website that quickly. This is going to eat into the income of webdesigners no doubt, but not as much as the market shift of people no longer wanting websites, because they are too expensive to register and host, and no one visits websites anymore, because they're all on social media instead.

The biggest use case for MI (machine intelligence) is automating anything which is labor intensive, using expensive labor or dangerous working conditions. Automated shotguns on turrets to take out drones is obvious. Autonomous drones is obvious. Automated underground mining, undersea welding, etc, etc. All these applications involve teams of programmers and engineers. Not for solo entrepreneurs with little capital and no engineering background and no engineering shop to build and experiment with equipment.

Generative AI is useful as a way of speeding up tasks and improving productivity. For you (rudder) maybe something involving assisting Americans with their dysfunctional healthcare system. For example, after a hospital stay, the sick person is given a huge pile of bills, some of which the insurance company rejects. Lots of items on these bills can be challenged, but it is time consuming to work with the hospital and insurance company. Lots of phone tag. Maybe generative AI could be used to counter flood the hospital and insurance company with challenges to items in the bills. There is a name for consultants who do this, but i forget. You could maybe work together with an existing consultant who doesn't understand generative AI.

You could also work together with a lawyer who doesn't understand generative AI to automate some of his/her work. Stick to the low end of lawyers who deal with debt collection, child support, ambulance chasing, etc. High end lawyers will hire professional programmers. I'm thinking like use the generative AI to bring in business and screen viable cases from junk, because dealing with low end clients can obviously be very time consuming only to discover they can't pay for legal services.

Wow youtube is inundated with this content. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnVkeJ8Qv10

Everyone and their aunt and uncle is working the banal formula: free downloads in exchange for your email address, selling some "course", telling you how to make money online with creating digital content via AI. Well guess what, we don't need to pay for your digital content! We can just ask AI ourselves and bypass your paywall and BSwall, go right to the specific info we want to know about, and have it catered exactly to us and not the thousands of youtube viewers.

Digital products and ebooks are BAD ideas. None of these products are needed anymore. If you're not producing tangible goods and services, AI will eat your lunch. I know most people won't realize this until the market is cluttered with thousands of AI produced ebooks telling you how to declutter your life.

Best argument I've ever seen for UBI.
