Hello everyone, I recently discovered Happierabroad.com by accident. Actually, I stumbled upon Winston Wu's youtube channel (before his videos were removed) while watching a video on TENspeaks' channel. For those who don't already know, TENspeaks is also an advocate of foreign travel and meeting women overseas, so after listening to his videos, I was already primed to receive Winston's message and movement in a positive light. Since then, I've been lurking this forum daily, for about a month, learning all that I can. Before coming here, I had toyed with the idea of expatriation, or in the very least, the idea of foreign travel and meeting foreign women. However, this forum has really helped me in connecting the dots as to why I am less than happy with the disfunctional dating culture, as well as the degraded society in general, that is present within the US.

Having just turned thirty last month, I only wish that I had discovered this concept earlier. I had heard of MGTOW before. Now, while I respect those guys, the fact of the matter is, they really don't offer any alternative solutions for nice guys, other than just complaining about all of the women and their social ills in the anglosphere.

Luckily, I do have some limited experience living overseas. I was born and raised in the US, but joined the military at 17, and was able to get stationed overseas. I have lived in Okinawa (albeit on a military installation), and have also had the opportunity to travel to mainland Japan a couple times, as well as to South Korea. Other than that, I have been to Canada and Mexico a few times, but mostly to bordering towns, and so my experiences in those two countries is nothing all that noteworthy.

Unfortunately, I had buried the thought of overseas travel into the furtherest depths of my mind for nearly a decade since getting out of the military. Somehow, maybe because I was happy to be stateside again at first, I simply forgot that foreign travel was even a viable option. When I think back to my time in Okinawa, I distinctly remember how some of my fellow servicemen, who were also a bit jaded and pessimistic about the American way of life, had found themselves Okinawan girlfriends. These men learned to speak a fair amount of Japanese, and they seemed happy in their relationships. Also, these were well balanced, well adjusted (both black and white) men who had their shit together in life, and they were the type to stay out of trouble.

After a decade of dealing with American women in all contexts, I have finally had enough of it, and have pretty much given up all my hope of ever finding a suitable mate here in the US. In addition to the impossible women here in the states, I feel that the culture here is simply unstimulating, ignorant, destructive, and overall lacking. Even if it wasn't for the women, I would still want to expand my horizons into the worlds beyond that which I know, simply because life in America is not satisfying to me any longer. I actually do like a lot of things about the US, which I may go into at a later time. However, I have simply grown too weary of dealing with the perpetual highschool clique mentality and shaming tactics that one must endure just to be in the dating and mating game here.

Yup, TEN Speaks is my boy. I'm glad he has been making vids lately. He went two months at one time without uploading any new content to YouTube; that had me hungry for more eN vids.

It's like if SargeWilliePete went 3 months without making videos, that would suck so bad.
