My introduction

Post by cubeangel »

I finally have some time and I might as well introduce myself. I was born in Harrisburg PA in the USA and raised most of my life in Georgia. I graduated college with a degree in Information Technology with an emphasis in software development. I have a disability called Aspergers syndrome which is a form of autism. This has impacted my ability to succeed in America. Winston, I've been reading your website and I am fast becoming a big fan of yours. The truth is I have had major problems trying to succeed in America and I have been given the run-around by places like voc-rehab. My favorite article that I have read of yours is called attitude fanaticism. As long as people see my attitude as the problem I will not get the help I need here. I believe in order for those such as myself to get the help we need for our communication and social deficits I may have to leave America. I am trying two more things to try to succeed here but if these fail then it will comfirm for me that I truthfully cannot succeed in the USA. If it comes to my leaving I will need help to leave. I've spoken extensively to another person in Austraila who has aspergers as well and he suggests that I leave America and come to Austraila. As long as the people here consider "my attitude is more important than the facts" I will not succeed in America. This quote was in a classroom in a public school. I am still flabergasted by what I saw. I do not understand American society and I do not understand the people's logic whatsoever. I've tried to analyze it and it is like beating my head against a wall.

By the way, if I say something offensive I apologize in advance and I mean no offense or harm.
