Welcome, CHris.
I'm 57, left US for Mexico 20 months ago, will now be pushing on to the Philippines.

Welcome to HA. If I may ask, do you plan on staying in Florida or do you see yourself retiring overseas? Is there specific info that you are seeking?
Re: New here, a grizzled veteran of Western Women
I would LOVE to be able to retire in say, The Philippines or Thailand, but I will have to work for awhile yet.....Currently, I'm on the "Work 'till you die" retirement program......

I guess the next logical question would be...how is your SSN benefits looking like at 62.5 years?asgard636 wrote:I would LOVE to be able to retire in say, The Philippines or Thailand, but I will have to work for awhile yet.....Currently, I'm on the "Work 'till you die" retirement program......
Google "Retirecheapasia.com" and pull up some of JT's videos. The neat thing that JT does (he's retired and living in Chiang Mai Thailand) is go around and look at apartments, houses etc and he shows you what can be accomplished on a shoestring budget. So retiring in Asia may not be as expensive as you think and often times can be done on your SSN benefits alone. You can do Philippines on a similar budget.
Once you make the move and set up shop, the women will find you....normally.
