The reason World War III will happen is because its the most profitable thing to do. Indefinite GDP growth is not sustainable.

1. Western countries have too many retired people not paying income tax so governments lose tax revenue.
2. Pension companies could save billions if everyone died.
3. Firearms companies make a fortune when there's war.
