@Rygar1: no real job? forget women for now and focus on higher priority things.
World is changing very rapidly now, so try to look far ahead in planning a career. Never risk health or clean criminal record. USA is becoming a meaner place and those with bad health or criminal records will be thrown in the garbage heap. Lots of current well-paid jobs will be replaced by automation. Bloated medical and educational industrial complexes will soon shrink. There is enormous amount of free stuff just floating around nowadays, so never pay for anything if you can help it. Squeeze your pennies until they scream for mercy. USA is already a plutonomy (as is Britain, where @yick is from), meaning the top 10% do most of the discretionary spending. So there is a market for butlers and cat psychiatrists and bodyguards and other jobs pandering to the rich. Lots of opportunity providing services for the elderly as they become incapable of managing their affairs. Salaries in this area are low for employees but business owners can do very well. USA and western Europe are falling from their peak and will be much closer to South America and southeast Asia in wealth/income in the future. China, Japan and Koeea will be the rich countries of the future.

Sorry, but Shemp has stated that allowing others and society at large to think for you is a recipe for unhappiness. I'm sick and tired of doing things I don't want to do just to MAYBE get someone else. If I like a particular job, I take it, if I don't, I quit. I actually enjoy serving others at times. Yes, she is my mom, but i live there too and reap the benefits.yick wrote: ↑June 10th, 2025, 7:04 pmDo you understand why @Shemp has lost interest in helping you?
You're vague about what you want, what's your plan? If it is to complain on here, well, it has been repeated a billion times ad nauseum - nothing is going to change until you make a plan and put it into motion.
If it is 'I can't be arsed, I am lazy' then you will just slide into old age lonely and sexless.
No woman wants some guy semi-unemployed, you understand that don't you?
Why would any woman consider you a good prospect?
Heck, I'll even go a step further and say I've pulled ass even when broke. Not alot, but I've gotten it. Wendi from my apt was the most recent, she knew I lived with mom , yet always gave me signs, talking about her 'vagina' and 'threesomes'. I easily could have railed her. You just gotta catch em when they're vulnerable. This almost always happens right after a breakup. You just get lucky.

I'm sick and tired of having to fulfill certain 'criteria' to be dateable. I do some odd jobs around the house, and frankly I enjoy the benefit of 'seeing' my fruits almost immediately.Shemp wrote: ↑June 11th, 2025, 5:18 am@Rygar1: no real job? forget women for now and focus on higher priority things.

I've actually pulled even when broke. I really have, see story above. Women can be weird, man, if you're handsome and charming and she likes you and you show a reasonable amount of interest, you're good. I mean in, you'll fu ck her. It may not last at all, but you'll get some. Who knows. I've heard stories of women supporting guys for years and they didn't care. They liked the guy. It's companionship, another human there. That goes a long way. Though we may not have seen eye to eye, my dad said to me once when asked why he didn't divorce my mom sooner, even though they hadn't gotten along in years, that it was simply another person around you. You put up with .essentially less than ideal circumstances, for the very real benefit of living and interacting with another human being. It's a very powerful and rather fascinating psychological dynamic.

I started to read the Bible and am trying to find the lord.yick wrote: ↑June 12th, 2025, 2:43 pmOKRygar1 wrote: ↑June 12th, 2025, 2:26 pmSorry, but Shemp has stated that allowing others and society at large to think for you is a recipe for unhappiness.
