Do foreign women look down on men who are blue-collar?

I know in the States women seem to look down on men in professions like plumbers.construction or military even if they can make a decent living. at least where i live

I know this is irrelevant unless you wanted the women to live with you in the States but i would still like to know
if this is the case as much with foreign women too, do they all expect the men they associate with to be doctors, lawyers or engineers, thats understandable if they do but realistically how many people can be those professions, I would find it a bit shallow if a women from a country where the average wage per month is $200 Thinks im a loser because of the nature of the work.

Also im not sure how much a English teacher would make in some of these foreign countries but wouldn't women see a guy in that kinda of work as not sustainable for longterm future, wouldn't she eventually nag him to get a different more "prestigious job" would they be fine with a man teaching English the rest of his carrier in that foreign country?

Generally speaking, as long as you bring home the bacon most foreign women don't care what you do as a profession. However, your profession and education level is more likely to be an issue with white collar foreign women from large cities(Shanghai, Tokyo, Moscow) who are more demanding and as a result have a higher divorce rate. As a general rule its good to avoid dating white collar women from large cities for this reason.

Women from Southest Asia are probably the least demanding women you will ever find. As long as you have a pulse they will be VERY VERY interested in you! The biggest problem you'll have is deciding which asian woman you want.

You'll probably get the best response form filipina women mainly because they speak english and they understand america culture better. However, women from Vietnam, Cambodia, China and Thailand etc.... will all be very interested in you as a potential boyfriend. Foreigners generally have high status in these countries and you'll acheive cult status upon landing at any airport in these countries.

I go to Thailand a lot and never feel I have high status, except maybe when I'm in the confines of a 5 star hotel. Lad had a terrible time living there and felt he was often scorned and looked down upon by the locals. In Cambodia and Vietnam, I just felt rich (and tall) cus the poverty is so extreme. So you can easily find a Cambodian or Vietnamese bride but don't flatter yourself about being a westerner. You could just as well be Taiwanese, Korean, or about anything else as long as you offered that ticket to a better life. In fact, a large number of Vietnamese do marry Taiwanese and Koreans every year since they are blessed with the lighter skin which Asian men find attractive.

As for China, there may be some girls who are curious about westerners and keen to date them. I've seen this dynamic play out both in China and Taiwan. In China, I still believe its a rather small subset (percentage wise) so don't expect to jump off the plane and be treated like a rock star. Amazingly though, I do feel I get some special (positive) treatment in China in general (not specifically dating) just for being a laowai, kinda the opposite of what foreigners generally say about Thailand.

First, professional contractors in the US can make a LOT of money. I don't mean the unlicensed Asian guy who placed an ad in the Chinese News Paper in LA. I mean people like the roof or termite guys who get paid thousands of dollars per job. I just purchased a fixer-upper house and have the invoice right here -- the termite work was $3,500 and the roof work (plus 2 year roof cert) was $2,500. I paid 1/2 of it and the seller paid the other 1/2. Don't underestimate the guys with a tool belt. I've meet many blue-collar professional contractors, and even truck drivers who make good money. They're all married too, had no problems with getting a girl.

Second, yes, there is discrimination to the lower-tier blue collar workers. The Asian guys who never went to college and working at the local Chinese restaurant as a waiter, cannot get a GF because even if the girl is working as a waiter in same restaurant, she wants to date and marry a guy with higher education and higher income. From the girl's perspective, once she "gives it all" to a guy and marries hm, she'd be forever "second hand goods" to any other man, so she has to choose carefully make sure she has a future with him. East Asian girls in the US are very cut-throat about this. I've personally seen many cases where the girl dumps her BF for someone else who has a green card or citizenship instead of F1 VISA, or going to Australia with her mom on vacation to be introduced to another guy from well-off family behind her BF's back.

There are many articles about how men in coastal cities of China are desperate to buy a house (condo?) because the GF would not stay with him unless if he proves his ability to afford a house/home. Let me translate this joke for you:

If you're a decent looking white man, you won't have a lot of trouble getting a date because there's a certain % of girls in country X who wants to date white guys, and the supply of single young white men are very small. Even if you're not that good looking the girls would often settle due to lack of supply, or if they have a different standard of beauty for foreigners. White English teachers tend to make decent wages in East Asia, but be warned that many cram schools don't want you when you're older. They prefer young and good looking white men who are more "presentable" to the parents.

My cousin married an English teacher from Canada, and her parent's condition to accepting the marriage was that he get a "real job". So my cousin in law went back to school to get a degree, and is now working as a white collar professional for Ernest & Young. He didn't like putting in the effort at first, but now he sees a much bigger paycheck plus regular travels around Asia for his job at company expense, so he's much happier about it now. He gets to fly to Shanghai/Tokyo/Singapore/etc, stay at 5 star hotels, dine out, and charge everything to the company's AmEx.

1. This site is about seeking the truth, not sugar coating it. So I'm gonna call it exactly the way I see it. Everyone posting on here should be 18 or over so no need to filter things. Kunold is not a baby.

2. I've lived in Asia for a long time. My friends and I have a significant experience base with women from countries in this region. Shorter term visitors may have illusions about their own status and popularity. But longer term expats are generally cynical cus they have a much better feel for what's really going on. Talk to old hands who've learned Thai or Khmer and they can probably relate many on the ground incidents where they were openly disrespected by locals in front of other locals.

3. Are Asian women better??? Personally, I like NE Asian women more than western women mainly because I have a fighting chance with them. If I was the type of guy who could easily pull hot western girls and establish long term connections with them, I think I could give-up NE Asians. As for poorer SE Asian women or girls from rural China, you are rich in their eyes. So if they are attracted to westerners, its generally for the prospect of a much better life. Moreover, picky guys who demand the most attractive girls have a much better chance of finding them in the bigger cities where women from all over the country tend to flock, esp. if they are beautiful.

4. I looked at the Date In Asia profile. I don't know for sure what's up with that. Just ask yourself, if she's so desperate at 35, could it be that she hasn't told you the whole truth. Lying in Thailand is generally more acceptable than in the west. And people lie all the time on the Internet. And you are dealing with a girl from Korat in Issan. If you visit the hot-spots of Thailand now, you will find its being over-run by foreigners (predominantly male) from most parts of the world. Even a poor woman in her 30s doesn't have a hard time attracting on the ground westerners if she puts per mind to it.

BTW, I used to be active on Afro Introductions and had a few instances of west African girls (some beautiful and young) who claimed to be from prominent families and would share give me substantial amounts of money if I would come to see them or marry them. Would you take what they claimed at face value?

5. If Kunold is younger and at least regular looking, he'll probably have an easy time attracting NE Asian girls who are interested in westerners for non-monetary reasons.

6. If he's older, he still may have some luck. But generally, his best bet will be SE Asian or rural China where the emphasis will be more on money or the prospect of a better life.
