5 GB for the first year then increase it to 10 GB if it has a decent amount of growth?

Why bother? Just get unlimited bandwidth. The lowest shared hosting package offers unlimited bandwidth. What hosting provider are you using? There are free ones too, they are in the thread about it. I forget where.

I thought you used a VPS because it was better if all the other sites had heavy traffic then it could slow down your website or is it generally fine?
