As much as I like the potential of a house with acreage, there is a small voice that likes the idea that should the region go to crap or the taxes & regs get under my skin, I could just drive off with my "house" , instead of being upside down, stuck with crappy neighbors, or taking a major capital loss on fixed real estate.
