Essential Duties and Responsibilities
This position will specialize in areas database administration and support current production applications. The DBA will be responsible for administrating, analyzing, documenting, backing up, increase performance of database and related applications. Strong emphasis is on SQL Reporting Services and SharePoint.
Essential Functions:
The following reflects management's definition of essential functions for this job but dow not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Management may assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other reasons.
This position will be an individual contributor to TFE Infrastructure team and will work very closely with the development team and reporting to the Director of Development and Infrastructure.
Our client focuses primarily on LOB (line of business) applications and focuses exclusively on Microsoft and SAP technologies.

Fully familiar with all aspects of Microsoft SQL technologies, including but not limited to Database Engine, Analysis Server, Reporting Services, and Integration Services. Version 2008 required and 2012 preferred
Advanced expertise in SQL administration including capacity planning, implementation and administration of complex databases, maintenance, security, disaster recovery, performance enhancement
Primarily responsible for the maintenance of existing database (over 200 DB's)
Assist with the creation of stored procedures views, indexes, and other objects, uncluding linked servers (DB2)
Provide DBA support to all IT departments
Design and implement ETL (extract, transform, load) processes
Actively contribute to the creation of SharePoint based SSRS reports
Contribute to the administration of the SharePoint reporting and application sites
Strict adherence to standards and procedure and ability to contribute to the creation of new ones

Other Functions:

Well versed with Windows 2008 technologies, including Active Directory, Server 2008 R2, and SharePoint 2010
Good knowledge of scripting (batch, PowerShell, etc.)
Experience with disaster recovery systems such as RedGate
Fully adverse with SQL Server Management Studio and similar tools
Knowledge of DB2 on iSeries preferred

Working Conditions:

Occasional long and irregular hours

Frequent deadline pressures
Numerous projects in progress at any given time

Responsibility Level:

Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
Able to comprehend and synthesize project requirements into a plan of action, facilitating the agreement of manager and co-workers on project needs through discussion, training and hands-on demonstration
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected – Ability to work well both independently and in a team, collaborating with developers, and mentoring those who wish to learn
Detail oriented multi-tasker with strong organizational skills – Self starting position to a large degree
Ability to work with confidential information on a regular basis
Accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to follow through
Must have good organizational skills and the ability to follow through on projects with minimal supervision

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
5+ Years proven success as a DBA required
5+ Years proven technical experience with SQL, Transactional SQL, Stored Procedures, RDBMS
5+ Years proven technical experience with SQL Server 2005/2008/2012
