Circumstances change sometimes.
For example, sometimes you might write a review here on this forum on a place reporting discrimination, and then two years later the place gets new owners, the place changes under the new owners, and the reported discrimination there becomes a thing of the past, rendering the entire thread/post/review completely moot and no longer valid.
And when that happens, the first thing you want to do is delete the thread/post/review from the forum. The place has changed, what was forbidden there is now permitted again, and now people want to focus on the new positives of the place. And threads on this forum sometimes appear in Google searches. And if they see even a 5 year old thread reporting discrimination that used to occur at a place that long ago but no longer occurs there anymore at the present time, they are not going to want to go there, or they will question the validity of this forum or consider it full of false information.
So it really would be appreciated if this forum were set back up to where members can edit or delete their own threads, including ones that are years old.

Why are you asking for an improvement? Don't you know that everything only gets worse in the modern world? At least this forum has been getting worse somewhat more slowly than the rest of the world.
Re: It would be great if the forums were still set up to where members can edit or delete their own threads.
We had that option before, but some members erased or blanked out all their posts. So it was a bad idea. However, you get 2 or 3 days to edit your post, which is more than generous. If you need something removed or hidden, you can PM a moderator about it.

They probably were told that the content of their posts were untrue, or the circumstances behind their posts have changed to where their posts were rendered moot, and that's why those members erased or blanked out their posts. I've tried PM ing moderators before, and there are posts that I made years ago where circumstances changed and the posts became moot and outdated that I wanted deleted, and they have not been deleted. It's like everything on this forum is written in stone, and it's unfair to have a forum set up where everything posted is absolutely written in stone, as if changing circumstances mean nothing.

All guys in America that have a brain will stay completely away from all bars, clubs, restaurants, events, amusement facilities, fairs, and public gathering places and facilities nationwide in the United States of America and Canada. And all guys that have a brain will save every single dollar otherwise spent at a bar or restaurant towards getting out of North America and staying away from North America for good. Congress has criminalized all friendships nationwide in the USA. People are getting arrested and thrown in jail by the FBI all over the country for mingling and making friends. The USA and Canada are no place for guys to be out in public at all for any reason whatsoever.traveller wrote: ↑October 1st, 2023, 8:02 pmCircumstances change sometimes.
