Request: Changing the Top Banner

Post by kangarunner »

I think it's the rightful and honorable duty of this forum to represent this site in a wholesome and positive light. Therefore, I'm requesting that the top banner that shows the advertisements for "Cherry Blossoms Asian Dating" and "LoveMe" dating banner should be changed to show banners linking to honorable charities around the world.

Instead of banners showing women on dating sites, the banners should show charities that are doing great work around the world.

But this isn't a charity. If you want to invest time into helping charities rather than trolling the site then I encourage you to do so.

Nah lets keep it HappierAbroad related, just get higher resolution pictures so it won't look like something a lazy high school kid made in Microsoft Paint in 5 minutes somewhere in 2008.

I'm not trolling. Of course this site is not a charity, but we can promote links on this site that go to honorable charities. I would think that because you're from the UK with its longstanding tradition of helping others that you would support this. I hope you'll have a think on it and then have a change of heart mate.

I will never give anything to charities. It is well-known that charities are used frequently for income-tax-reduction of rich people, and the income of their donation in return is (mis)used for high salaries of their CEOs or otherwise missing or stolen and about 80 % or more of money for charities is gone for self-administration, fund-raising parties in 5-star resorts for the high society and so on. Not more than 5 to 10 percent of any charity income is arriving to those people who need help.

Charity help is given very selective and ordinary men in trouble will rarely receive anything.

The purpose of this forum - Happier Abroad - is not about to assist Western feminist-friendly charities and their fat cats, it is about to assist Western men to find contact to other parts of this world, to meet foreign women and to consider relocation to other non-Western countries.

Average CEO pay at large charities rises to £175,000, survey shows

The average salary for chief executives at the UK’s largest 100 charities by income has increased by £5,000 since 2021, a new analysis has found.

Chief executives at these charities now receive a median salary of £175,000, up from £170,000 in 2021 and £155,000 in 2019, according to the Charity Chief Executives Survey 2023.

This year’s biennial survey, published today in the March issue of Charity Finance, asked leaders to confirm their salary including bonuses and excluding pension contributions. For those who did not disclose any figures, we looked at data published in their charity’s latest accounts.

Highest-paid individuals

With an annual income of over £1.2m, Steve Gray of Nuffield Health remains the highest-paid chief executive. Gray earned between £930,000 and £940,000 in 2021.

Al Russell, chief executive of the London Clinic Trustees and Paul Nurse, CEO of the Francis Crick Institute, ranked second and third, earning respective incomes of £510,000-520,000 and £420,000-430,000.

Julie Maxton, executive director of the Royal Society, is the 4th highest earner and the highest-paid female leader, with a salary of £385,000.
---------------------

About the design of the Happier Abroad Forum, I think it needs some improvement, but surely not with free ads related to charities.

Millionaires like yourself from rich European countries have a duty to give to others who are less fortunate than you are.

I thought you were a Democrat, and considered it the duty of the government to tax rich folks and give money to those who are not as well off.

Of course I'm a Democrat, how else would I get the money to pay for all my sexual fantasies in Asia?

Millionaire? Of which currency are you talking about?

To make it clear there is NO DUTY to give away money to others, especially not to organizations operating in the grey zone - I want to see and to control what happens to my donations.

I do not give money away for the bonuses of CEOs of so called charities - charities are in fact nothing else but a business for certain people who have indeed much more money than I have.

In the past however I spent much money for a poor Filipina girl - from elementary school up to university and I paid for everything else, like housing, food, clothes, medicine... she is now almost 30, married, has a good salary and we are still in very frequent contact to each other. Don't ask me how much money I gave away only for her.

I was also helping some other people in the Philippines, sending many big parcels of various collected items over from Japan and I paid for the cargo delivery out of my income.

Most Americans have this view of Europeans as being enlightened and rich. We think that people in Europe are more liberal and humanistic.

I commend you for helping that Filipina girl.

I'm a Democrat and that means that I believe wealthier people should give their fair share back to poor people who need it. Jesus would help the poor. Why wouldn't you help them?

Do you get government checks?

Are our tax dollars going to fund sinful sex in Asia?
