How do I message black African women?

I am in South Africa and I am getting tons of interest on Tinder from black African women. The issue is messaging them. A lot of them are responsive at first, and enthusiastic, but then they unmatch me or stop responding.

What is the routine for messaging black African women? Should you have a text conversation with them or just ask them to meet up? I figure I am competing with black African thugs so maybe I am not being aggressive enough?
