Similar to eating - a calorie is a calorie regardless of the source (although we prefer natural sources). Equivalent to lifting - your body will recruit the precise amount of muscle fibers to lift a 20Lbs basket as it did a 20Lbs dumbell. The body doesn't know which is which; it just produces. Although its only goal is survival, the human body doesn't reason why - It just does and die.

If porn causes impotency, what does that say for the male performers?! Hell, some of these dudes are in their 50s and 60s! This is one huge oversized contradiction. Just 20+ years ago in readers digest (you can probably still find it on the web), doctors/physicians/scientists discovered that frequent ejaculation was not only healthy, but beneficial to the prostate. It can also promote relaxation... especially from a stressful day. Porn can however affect a relationship. It can have a good or bad effect. What porn does is eventually cause a man to question why he spends so much effort trying to get sex with real women, make himself attractive to women, etc. Men who realize they don't need women use impotence with real women as a way of getting rid of the woman without having to explain themselves. None of these guys is impotent with porn, you might notice.

I find it very funny that many Millennials on the Roosh Forum and many other forums advocate NO FAP. They believe that it is bad for you and kills your sex dive. I was read the same thing on Roosh's forum about "no fap." Not masturbating actually decreases your sex drive.

I don't see why anyone would think this is no big deal. It's like if you sat around on a desert island drooling over a picture of chocolate cake so much you ruined your salivary glands and then when someoen gave you real chocolate cake, you weren't able to taste it.

Looking at porn is spiritually damaging. It's not just the looking. It is the sin of looking with lust, which is coveting. Job made a covenant with his eyes that he would not look upon the virgin with lust. Jesus said that he that looks at a woman in order to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

So it is bad to look at porn. It is much better to get married and regularly experience the real thing.

I don't think impotence in the broad sense is caused by porn, but I think it's easier to "burn out"- at least temporarily. It seems that a man isn't really wired to be looking at a screen all the time & it's a little like a neural version of bending your fingers back.
