The best exercise is the leg raise. I do them on the floor and a few hanging leg raises a couple times a week. It will rip your abs to shreds!

Pretty much how it works. I only do ab exercises very rarely, to help my strict standing presses and squats, if my abs are a weak point. Even then there's no magic to it, I just do weighted situps on a decline bench.Cornfed wrote:I personally don't think ab exercises are necessary if you are doing other compound exercises. Also, an ab exercise isn't gonna do anything if your bodyfat is high. Abs requires really low bodyfat. Generally around 10% or even single digits. At those bodyfat levels, you'll have veins popping out in places, and abs. Basically, every single "ab exercise" thing is a total utter scam in how it's presented, as you'll never see your abs if you're over 10% bodyfat. There's a saying "Abs are made in the kitchen."
