I agree there are health concerns. It would seem to me the healthy thing would be MORE wires, LONGER wires, f***ing goddam WIRE HARNESSES to keep the f***ing things in a bundle, and a switch to tourn off the f***ing wifi.

Byt then I'm not an ENGINEER, so I dont understnd the TECHNICAL DIFFICULTY of making a cellphone charger cord that would reach down from the height of an average outlet, to the floor where that transformer thing lies, and then up to the height of the average desk, and then a couple of feet to my phone. Yeah I know ROCKET SCIENCE.

Funny when she says they have to conform to health standards for cellphones. There ARE no health standards for cell towers, and it is essentially illegal to debate this when a cell tower is permitted.

Anyway despite health concerns this does touch the scifi geek in me. Beamed power was a fixture in one novel I enjoyed, permitting generators in space, beaming power to Earth. And Tesla, I think, had proposed turning the entire Earth into a battery, with electric power available everywhere. (A weaker but permanent version of what creates lightning.)
