@WanderingProtagonist gave me an idea for a thread highlighting any movies you think are just about spreading woke ideologies and why.

Which movies do you reckon are woke?
I said that because I felt the relationship between the two human characters in Sonic just didn't make any sense, I feel like every time they throw in these random type couples and relationships in movies they make them feel rather woke.
It wasn't wokery when the Live Action Super Mario brother movie made Big Bertha a black woman and Mario danced with her, and they had somewhat an odd short term like relationship before she helped him and his brother escape the club. I mean when I first saw Big Bertha I was kind of surprised even though a lot of people hated that movie for other reasons, though to me it was better than those damn Sonic Movies with the awful CGI and casting Jim Carrey as Robotnik.

But there are a lot of movies that are woke as hell. The recent Aliens seemed kind of woke with it's teenage "diversity" cast, Prey Aka Predator featured a small Native American girl being able to take down Predator, an alien that even Arnold's physically fit character struggled with in the first movie. Though the Predator in the second movie was also probably weak which is why Harrigan was able to defeat it hand to hand even though he almost died doing so.

Star Wars as far as wokism goes have been woke ever since Disney took over it along with all the Walt Disney movies they tried to alternate like that Little Mermaid Live Action movie. Any movie that do the race swap thing is woke, movies that have random as hell interracial couples like an Asian guy with a black woman is definitely woke (Disney's Cinderella featuring a Brandy and the Prince was Asian, so even as far back as the early 2000s they were still sort of doing this woke stuff with movies, scrapping the original stories and then rewriting them for a different kind of audience the movies always failed to appeal to)

But it's even more so common when said films do it in a way where it's quite obvious. Like Rey in Star Wars having a white male enemy who is extremely weak for a damn sith lord whom she kicks the shit out of, she's also a white female who is involved romantically with Fin. Those Purge films are also woke or more like Political Propaganda bait.

But it's hard to tell if it's Far Left or Far Right or even both in terms of the political message it tries to send about how evil rich white people are who run the Government that they would set it up to where people can legally murder or rape who ever they want except for those who fund the whole purge. But then there is this Black Power like Resistance movement that stands up against them. The Ghost Busters 2016 movie was labeled as woke but I think they were just experimenting to see how an all female cast of Ghost Busters would handle the ghost although feminist were strongly supporting the movie despite it still failed, and they outright blamed the male audience for it even though there were a lot of women also bashing the shit out of the movie for the same reasons the males were bashing it.

Wokism didn't really exist until late 2008, but by 2010 practically 80% of the movies ended up like this. And Television is just as bad. Netflix got a lot of hate for this, and lost a lot of subscribers for how woke a lot of movies and television series were.
It's just too obvious in media like the commercials, a black guy, a white guy, and an Asian guy all go camping together, lol like seriously? During World War II China had a lot of propaganda posters that presented Asians in a certain light that weren't true to Chinese society at all like showing happy little girls working in a shoe factory that looked like a sweat shop.

That's how movies are and Television. Visit any streaming site that have free movies to watch that hasn't been DMCA off the web, and you will notice a bunch of movies with wokish posters. Feminist propaganda movies also started in the 1970s, but they were even more noticeable in the early 1990s featuring small women taking down large men in fights or well experienced men who could easily knock their teeth out. I saw movie called Knockoff where Jean Claude Van Damn's character fights a black female who seems to have some martial art skill of her own but even if she could fight there is noway in hell she would be able to take on Jean Claude but his character in that film is made to struggle against her, and she kicks the shit out of him before he can even restrain her even though he was fighting back vs letting her beat him up because "hitting a woman is wrong" even in self defense.

There was also a movie like Blood Sport, I think it was one of the Kickboxer movie's that or either Blood Sport II maybe III I don't remember. I just know that the director felt the first movie had no women in the kumite so this time around they needed at least one female fighter in the movie, but had no other women for her to fight against. Instead she fought badass men built like a brick like f***ing Bolo Yung and was kicking their asses all over the matt....It was horrible.

The Next Karate Kid was woke before the word woke was ever a word, as was the one Starring Jaden Smith about a black kid going to China, gets beat up by a gang of Asian kids, only for a Chinese man to step in and save his life against a group of kids. With the next Karate kid they felt it was time to let a girl be the main focus and she ended up beating up a gang of boys in the end rather than her bullies being girls they were simply boys similar to the ones that were bullying Daniel in the first movie. In the sequel he goes to Japan which I felt the Jaden Smith movie tried to copy where a foreigner gets beaten up by Asians, meets an Asian love interest, then beat the Asian bullies in their own country in a martial arts tournament in front of their own people and get cheered for it, lol it's bullshit.

Revenge movies like I Spit on Your Grave, Hard Candy, Wrong Way, Girl With a Dragon Tattoo, or any female revenge movie would fall under the woke banner but it's also Feminist propaganda fear monger porn as such movies depict male sexual predators who are violently assaulted by female victims. These movies are marketed toward women to hate men as such movies always have violent revenge plots. But there are no such movies where men get equal revenge against women who have wrong them because that would be "politically wrong."

You think all those film studios and actors and producers are sitting in a room thinking and plotting together, "What woke agenda are we gonna put in this movie guys? What liberal / progressive things do we want to add to the movie?". They don't give a shit about that stuff. They CARE ABOUT MONEY!!! They want to make the next Avatar or next franchise movie like Fast and Furious where they can get rich off a series of 7 movies.

Come on man give me a f***ing break

I don't know about woke, but if you pay attention Hollywood producers love to put white male actors in the worst character roles when they get the chance to. The black guys are always super strong characters.

I haven't watched the recent movies in a while. But I did type in new movie trailers and this one movie came up that pissed me off. Trap with Josh Hartnett. What pissed me off was the character he plays is a serial killer and of course they have to make it a white man. NOT a black man. NOT a Latino man. A white man. Because it's only the white men that are the bad guys right?

See the thing is, I'm red pilled at this point in my life. 11 countries. 7+ years living/traveling abroad. I'm not going to put up with America's bullshit anymore. It's either here in Asia or Australia if I can get a legal way to live there. I remember Gonzalo Lira said in one of his videos that "feminism is one big shit test.". It's a shit test to see if the men in America will put up with it, tolerate, and comply OR say f**k this BS I don't want any part of it. Any men that comply with feminism and supplicate to women have failed the shit test. Real insightful and broad thinking on his part.

Here's another thing I want to say on this topic. Ask any film buff who is familiar with foreign (non-American) films vs American films what the difference is between them. I'm sure he or she will have a lot to say.

Also, what I noticed is that American horror movies are at an extreme level. Beyond extreme. Examples: Saw, Hostel, TCM, The Exorcist, Amityville Horror. @Winston This is why I told you that America wants to put fear and terror into the average person's minds. If they do that, they can make Americans more compliant and obedient.

It's almost as if Hollywood is laughing at us all when we buy a ticket to go to the movies.

It really makes Americans look dumb for the amount of movies they watch that have no enriching value at all. Dumb and Dumber. "Dude, where's my car?", the list goes on.

I'm still disgusted and embarassed at myself remembering how I brought my Americanisms over here to Asia. At this point, at least it's gone now and my interactions with people here are much more respectful.

I have to disagree with you if you believe only American Horror movies are extreme. I've seen a few Asian horror movies and they are equally as violent and gorish. Korea also makes some brutal as hell thriller movies, Old Boy have a guy chopping off his own tongue, and that movie I Saw The Devil have extreme torture elements in it. I didn't watch it but I Read about it and the torture is on the level of Saw. Then there is the ultra violent action movies that Indonesia makes like The Raid 2 which up the anty on the violence compared to the first movie. Raid 2 was almost like a cross between horror and action with how brutal the fights were and a guy getting his head blown clean off his shoulder with a shotgun up close to his face. You'll never see that kind of brutality in American action movies besides movies like Predator. Indonesia owns that gore shit in their action flicks.

All horror movies are the same regardless of country they are filmed in. Plus there are many category types. Psychological horror movies aren't gory, like the Ring for instance or Ju-On, those aren't gorish films even though they are Japanese movies but still. The Exorcist was suppose to be based on real life events even if they were a bit exaggerated, I don't believe in real demon possessions especially not like how they are portrayed in movies. And have you seen the Train to Busan? It's got a lot of violent gore in that movie because it's about zombies taking over a train, and it's a Korean movie, a very popular one.

You also attacked comedy movies, comedy is suppose to be funny and stupid sometimes. Or do Asians suck at comedy? I like to laugh, and movies like Weekend At Bernies were good movies. Asia does action movies a bit better than America does, at least today. But in the 1980s and the 1990s the U.S. had the best Action movies while Asia made the best Martial Arts movies.
