This is bringing back some lost memories! Haven't heard Dance Hall Days since c. 1984 when it was often played on TV in the morning before school. Didn't think much of the song back then as a 12 year old but listening to it now it's held up pretty well, unlike a good portion of cheesy 80s pop.

Not much thoughtful pop music like this anymore sadly.
