James Bond Series (Movies & Novels)

Post by WilliamSmith »

The James Bond film series and original Ian Flemming novel series deserves its own thread:

Most of the Bond movies up until the 90's are some of the best movies out there both for entertainment, and also for great alpha male role models, in pretty much all situations:

From just being a man who is strong and confident in yourself overall, to chemistry with women in good and bad scenarios, to dealing with opposition and hostility in all situations from mundane personal or business interactions to outright lethal hostility and mortal combat against enemies, they're way up at the top of the list of best resources.

I'll come back to post more soon since I'm about to re-watch them all up to through the Dalton era, but for now here's the list of all the films and which actors portrayed Bond:

Sean Connery as Bond:
Dr. No (1962)
From Russia with Love (1963)
Goldfinger (1964)
Thunderball (1965)
You Only Live Twice (1967)

Two that I understand are considered more or less non-canon:
Casino Royale (1967) - David Niven as Bond (? LOL)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) - George Lazenby as Bond

Diamonds Are Forever (1971) (Connery again)

Roger Moore as Bond:
Live and Let Die (1973)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1974)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)
Moonraker (1979)
For Your Eyes Only (1981)

Connery one last time as Bond:
Never Say Never Again (1983)

Roger Moore as Bond again:
Octopussy (1983)
A View to a Kill (1985)

Timothy Dalton as Bond:
The Living Daylights (1987)
Licence to Kill (1989)

[ Disclaimer: The producers may be pitching you red propaganda from here on, though I still think Brosnan did a good job as Bond even though the producers were running the series down the tubes from here onward. 8) ]

Pierce Brosnan as Bond:
GoldenEye (1995)
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)
The World Is Not Enough (1999)
Die Another Day (2002)

Daniel Craig:
Casino Royale (2006)
Quantum of Solace (2008)
Skyfall (2012)
Spectre (2015)
No Time to Die (2021)

And here's the list of Fleming's original bond novels:

Casino Royale (1953)
Live and Let Die (1954)
Moonraker (1955)
Diamonds Are Forever (1956)
From Russia, with Love (1957)
Dr. No (1958)
Goldfinger (1959)
Thunderball (1961)
The Spy Who Loved Me (1962)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1963)
You Only Live Twice (1964)
The Man with the Golden Gun (1965)

Hell, since I'm so committed to becoming an "international man" with multiple passports (before or after WW3 ends), I'll commit to reading all these novels too, not just watching the films, LOL.

I'll be starting with Dr No, since it was also filmed in Jamaica (and set in it in the novel), which is one of the countries I've been getting to know, for various reasons. 8)

@jamesbond what's your input on the above?

Who played James Bond in "In Her Majesty's Secret Service"? I remember it was some unknown guy. Why did he play Bond only once? Why didn't they use Sean Connery for that one since it was his era?

I heard they are planning to have James Bond be a woman next time. Hope that. That would be god awful.

The conundrum for Hollywood is that the women in Bond films have to be weak and helpless, and lovely too of course, so that James Bond can save them and be their hero. Otherwise a strong independent woman would not make Bond shine, so they cannot have the strong independent women in Bond films that they like. It wouldn't make Bond look good if he was around women who didn't need him. Likewise with Chuck Norris and Clint Eastwood types. They only shine around weak and helpless and feminine women. Just like we do. lol

The James Bond character seems to have been based on an idealised version of Ian Fleming's younger self, which is to say a rich degenerate POS who would have been considered a loser if it weren't for Daddy's money. More of an omega male than an alpha male in that he wasn't trying to contribute to anything useful.

HAVEN'T YOU BEEN ***READING*** MY POSTS?! :x :x :x Just kidding :D , but George Lazenby is the man on the list you're thinking of, and David Niven was the other 1-time Bond:

I guess by "woman" in 2022, we mean the woke producers will shove in a satanic transgender tranvestite who walks around with his schlong flapping around in the ladies room and beats up women in martial arts competitions, right? Well, I'm 100% against it! So will all MGTOW except the fags we were just discussing in another thread be in agreement this time, or will we all have to start arguing? :D

I love themes with a strong masculine hero saving a sexy babe in distress because of the sexual dimorphism vibes, but I remember lots of strong bond girls where they still had nice chemistry (not to mention the femme fatales, where I love the fierce "man-eater" women)...
We'll have to explore the best bond girls and all the man/woman chemistry they had with both Bond and the damsel-in-distress types and Bond and the femme fatales later, although the fun was always over for me when the femme fatales got blown up since I'm a repugnant "sexist" and don't like seeing violence against women.

Closing for now, I'll just add: Tanya Roberts is such a hot little golden haired babe with such a sweet look to her (not to mention playing Sheena: Queen of the Jungle, and the babe in Beastmaster, all of which is also totally !@#$ing awesome regardless of what Cornfed thinks).

P.S. You guys probably already knew this, but: There are only 2 genders. :D

I can't find my James Bond paperbacks but we've been watching the films, so here's some clips for you:

To you younger guys (not to mention those who may be 'late bloomers'):
Watch and learn! :D This is great learning material to study to learn how to be a big hit with women, even though it always takes awhile to scale into getting comfortable and finding your own authentic "style" building on the overall fundamentals.

Here's Bond's first on-screen date with Sylvia Trench:

James Bond plays baccarat with Sylvia Trench, excuses himself "just as things were getting interesting," and then manages to set up a date with her the following day.
https://www.bitchute.com/video/w5h1jmpXulQ6/

Here's the scene in the middle with Bond and Moneypenny at the beginning and end, before he goes home and finds Sylvia Trench at his apartment to close the deal in the third one.

Bond returns to the office and interacts with Ms Moneypenny, then gets called into the office by an old codger from the anglo-zionist british empire who orders him to turn over his Beretta in exchange for the purse gun known as the Walther PPK.
Then more chemistry with Ms Moneypenny...

Bond returns to his pad to find Sylvia Trench has let herself in to play golf. They close the deal on their first date swiftly, since Bond has to leave for Jamaica "almost immediately."

BOND GETS A DATE WITH A DOUBLE AGENT (DR NO, 1962)

https://www.bitchute.com/video/lYTGpH2a3HCf/

Bond catches the secretary listening at the keyhole and sets up a date.
She works for Doctor No. We'll see what happens in the next clip...

This was Miss Taro, supposedly a Jamaican Chinese. There are a lot of Chinese in the Caribbean since the late 1800s diaspora, but she looks rather more like lovely white women I've known more than a Chinese, but no matter.

Here in the next one you'll get not only a lot of good chemistry between the sexes (the real ones I mean: man and woman, not the 50+ Faceberg non-binary "identifications"), but also some good chase scene action and alpha masculinity:

BOND'S PRIVATE DATE WITH MISS TARO (AND DENT'S HAD HIS SIX)

https://www.bitchute.com/video/bTbyeq7wMfEe/
Bond accepts Miss Taro's invitation to her Jamaican mountaintop apartment.
It was a setup, but he survives Dr No's henchmen and sends them up in a ball of fire. Then he closes the deal with Miss Taro at her apartment while she tries to keep him there in order to buy some time to have him killed by the treacherous Professor Dent.
But Bond has her arrested first.
Then Professor Dent arrives to assassinate Bond...
Gun nerd note: Bond says "That's a Smith and Wesson, and you've had your six", before plugging Dent with a few rounds and putting him out of commission for good. But it was actually a suppressed Colt M1911A1 that Dent was using.
