Do men innately desire sexual variety in women? Is the desire to date and sleep with multiple women innate in a man's nature, instinct or genetics? It would seem like it, since men seem to judge their success based on the number of women they've slept with, as if quantity were a measure of success.

But if this is so, then how are monogamous men and married men out there able to suppress their desire for "new conquests"? How do they not get tired of sleeping with the same woman everyday? What happened to their innate desire for variety? Do they secretly fantasize about other women? If so, how can they go through with that day after day and not fulfill their desire for sexual variety?

Have any of you asked these questions to married men? I have a few times, but they don't seem to want to talk about it.

The traditional solution to this is prostitution, meaning married guys seeing prostitutes. This works in cultures where women are taught that this isn't a violation of the husband's commitment to them. Unfortunately modern culture teaches women that this is a violation, so this upsets modern wives. But in sane traditional cultures, women are taught (correctly) that this isn't a violation, so wives accept this and everyone is happy.

Just as men have variation in character & talent, there is variation in why they marry.
Some get married for religious/moral reasons, others for "oops, I'm pregnant", some because of one-itis, some were given the ultimatum, or a half-dozen other possibilities.
Not all of those reasons make for joyful conversation, after the fact.
