Certainly it makes no sense to ask out random women on park benches and then to complain of rejection. The woman must choose the man first. After she has sent her signal, then the man can make the approach.

There are certain times when you can ignore this rule. It seems like in the Philippines this rule doesn't apply. However, it seems to me that the majority of the rest of the world goes by this rule.

Most women in the US never give out "indicators of interest" even if they are interested in a guy. This is why the PUA stuff is so popular in America, it teaches guys how to 'cold approach' women.

Of course cold approaching will mostly result in getting one rejection after another. The best thing to do is visit places like the Philippines and Thailand where women actually DO give out indicators of interest to men.

They just need to open their eyes and be patient. I have seen some really not-so-good looking men with some women who were stunningly beautiful. How did those men do it then?

If you cold approach 100 women and they all say no, even if you have nerves of steel and the rejection doesn't hurt your feelings, it will still skew your perception of yourself in other ways. And it will make you hate women that much more.

Unless you are Winston or in the Philippines the best thing is simply to make yourself seen, sit back, relax and wait for a woman to send you a signal. To go searching for your own glory is not glory.

I notice that usually the good looking guys do get notice by girls. So looks do count. The problem is that the average guys struggle. PUA works to certain extent. You have to have balls of steel and take allot of rejection but I know guys that did this and did get girls.

Let's say the so called good looking men are attractive to 10% of the women. Whereas the men who are supposedly not so good looking only attract 1% of the women.

In either case, does it make sense to go cold approaching the other 90 or 99 women? Or would it be better to simply wait for the woman to do her job, which is to signal you, then you can do your job. That way you save yourself 90 or 99 rejections.

(In reality I think the numbers are closer to 1 in 1000 to 1 in 10,000 for everyone, regardless of looks.)

Most of it I'm rejecting and continue walking, because I'm not interested in her - she's too young, fat, old, or sometimes...I just don't feel like it. I agree, if you wait for a woman to show interest in you, you might be waiting until doomsday. It's best to travel overseas if you want women to show interest in you. The Philippines seems to be the best country in the world for men when it comes to meeting women.

Also, all because a woman makes eye contact with you doesn't mean she want's to sleep with you. This is especially true in the United States.

I agree with you. Being yourself means you like yourself and women will pick this up and like you as well. Those who approach women and gets rejected every time have no idea on how to deal with them which is like 99% of men.
