So I go on this site once in awhile to remind myself why it is absolutely necessary to date OVERSEAS ONLY.

I bet I sent out around 60 Emails to local women, probably 20 of which were returned... I think in all 20 there were only 2 that said: Hi... 1 was thinking of going out on a date and then she stopped replying suddenly. The other 20 wanted to make it known that they were clearly not interested in a guy with a crappy job ($50k/year) or that has any kind of hobby.
I even got some hostile emails back to the tune of "fvck off loser... I don't need a man".

Then I emailed the foreign girls ... I bet I sent off about 20 emails and got around 18 replies all friendly and curteous asking me when I am planning to head down to Mexico/Peru/China/Korea....

WTF is wrong with western women... I mean half of them are FAT and UGLY and OLD and they have these insanely high standards for dating?!? I can't wait to travel again... only 8 more months...

I have check out "plenty of fish" before years ago and it was a total joke! The men outnumber the women by a lot, the women are mostly fat, ugly or single mothers. I have also looked at yahoo personals and american singles and match.com. I never joined any of them, just checked out the profiles, this was probably 8 years ago.

Statistics show, 80% of people who use internet dating websites are men and only 20% are women! So the women are getting responses from men all the time, and the women are real picky about who they respond to. One dating expert said, "your not going to find any good looking women on the internet, if the woman was good looking, she would not be using the internet." how true!

Stay away from internet dating, it's a total joke! If your a man it doesn't work, if your a woman (even if your a fat cow, or as ugly as sin) you will have men responding to you in droves! Plenty of fish, is PLENTY OF CRAP!

Use a local dating site? Nope, I think I'd rather chew on tinfoil! Why go thru the torture?

I met my wife on CherryBlossoms. I still think it's an excellent way to find a mate if you have patience and can learn how to sift thru the scammers.

American women are too focused on the all might dollar. You are not a "nice guy" unless you make over $75k per year. The Average Joe's dating career in the US is over before it even begins.

Forget about western dating sites, there a complete waste of time.

I was getting 150 e-mails a day with Date In Asia website(its free). I had one woman in thailand that offered me a luxury car if I would marry her. I had 2 more women in the philippines that were willing to change religions for me. Finally, I decided on one woman from the philippines, we seem to really hit it off, I'm planning on visiting her later this year. Her sincerity is obvious.

I tried Plenty of Fish a few times. Never got any responses from an AW. I did look at some profiles of men who had lots of women who added them as favorites. Looked like Tattooed bad boys who recently got out of prison.

The dating ratios for online romance are killer. There was one Japanese site that listed the amount of registered men and women. The men outnumbered the women by 5 to 1.

i would imagine with the desperation of American men, the typical American dating site probably has 10 men for every 1 woman. Not a good ratio.

Oh and if any of you want "proof" from the Japanese website, I can dig it out!

Online dating sites in US works if you're into some special nitch, like transgender, gay, or some kind of fetish. Before the internet it was difficult for people with fetishes to hook up, now it's a lot easier. So if you're into "furry" then internet dating is the place for you. If anyone doesn't understand "furry", here's a brief:

And yes, I have actually meet people like that at anime/comic conventions. A bit weird, but who am I to judge if someone want to dress up like a furry animal and have sex? hehehehehe.

Other than that, the internet is a GREAT place to find "compensated dating" if you're a man, and to sell your "escort services" if you're a women. If you're just looking for paid sex, the internet is your domain. I know one guy who post ads on "Gigs - Adult" all the time and he bangs good looking college-age girls in need of $$ cash. Instead of him sending out photos of himself (and pray for a date), he has the girls submit their photos to him for selection.

For finding a date and possibly a girlfriend, social networking sites are far better. However, there's a certain "open season" period that lasts for only couple of years for sites like Myspace and Facebook. When something is new, there's a certain novelty to it and people who join are friendly and open to friend requests and meeting up. But after a couple of years the novelty wears off and the girls receive one too many e-mails from weirdo/creepy guys, and they either leave or set their profiles to private & by invitation only.

The era of myspace has came and went, and Facebook's open season era was probably 2006-2007. If you missed the boat, you missed the boat. It was good while it lasted though.

Plenty of Fish is absolute shit. The only thing good about it is that it will confirm for you how repulsive american women truly are.

I like what the other guys wrote on this thread. My experience on http://www.internationalcupid.com was like night and day. My inbox had so many messages I could hardly find the time to read all of them. I actually thought to myself at one point, as I was just randomly deleting a few because the girls who sent them were either not asian or did not look good enough for me that: OMG, HEY, THIS MUST BE WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE A STUPID AMERICAN BITCH ON PLENTY OF FISH.

Yeah, I got a few scammers on there too, but you quickly weed those out unless you are an absolute idiot. What I was left with was a lot of beautiful women of high quality, until one in particular stole my heart.

I find this part especially interesting. From what I understand, in most countries in the Anglosphere (ie. Canada, US, Western Europe), $50K US per year is actually above mean and median income. So just out of curiousity how much does AW consider "acceptable" to go into wallet-seeking mode? For the record my income is well over twice the average in my Anglo country.

80k+ is an upper class wage, 50 to 60k/year is a middle/upper middle class office/tradesman standard... and about 35 to 40k is standard middle class cubical/construction/IT wage... the lower middle are around 28 to 30k/year... lower is about 24k and under.. you guys that make the six figures are really in the minority, I'm guessing you are in sales or are doctors..

Yet I've heard of Air Canada Captains who wives leave them and take half of their stuff because they're bored... those guys make up to $300,000/year and get travel benefits for their family (and buddy passes for 'significant others' meant to accommodate the gays). So women not only have access to tons of $$$ but also travel the world over for nearly free and EVEN THAT is not enough for some women.

I have no idea what women want... my girlfriend left me because I was enjoying life as a balloon twister (entertainer) and wasn't 'successful enough' yet guys who are successful and make big $$$ seem to still have the same problem.

I keep seeing ads on tv for "E-Harmony" and it's frickin ridiculous! They must be making lot's of money off of people or else they wouldn't have the money to put so many ads on television. I have never know anyone to meet the person of their dreams through a dating website, newspaper personal ad or dating service.

No wonder why most women who use dating services and websites are FAT and UGLY, how else are they going to meet men? lol

Good looking women don't have to resort to using the personal ads and the internet to meet men, they are easily able to meet men at bars, clubs, parties, at work, school, etc. It's only the fatties and uglies who have to use "extreame measures" to meet men. lol

Yes, and they are on a power trip to make themselves feel "worth it." The more men they reject, the better they feel by proxy, cause if they can reject a man she is better than him, at least in fem-logic. They also cant risk that the man will meet them and be the one to refuse them. That kind of rejection for a woman would be devastating.

There's the "below" and "above" theory for western women. If they perceive you as being "below" them socially they reject you if you are way "above" them they reject you too because they are insecure about it and think you are going to use them for whatever meager sexual or social qualities that they have.

So really, you have to be just "right" for them so to speak. This can be wildly delusional qualities based on the woman's own insecurities and media based standards. Some want to be abused by a bad boy..some want a millionaire with a yacht.. Then again the standards may not be so delusional because i've seen some truly atrocious looking and acting women who manage to somehow hook well off men who are then emotionally brow beaten by these types.

I thought I'd throw in my two cents: I met my last three girlfriends on http://www.okcupid.com. That site is free, and offers quizzes and blogs and lots of other apps. You can search locally or globally, set age restrictions, etc.
Naturally there are snotty and/or flaky girls on there but the ones I met so far were pretty fascinating...one was a neurobiologist, another was an engineer in the morning and a semi-pro poker player by night. Pretty good sex drives, too...

PS--Damn, Bond, why not just upload some hardcore porn?
