Why was Richard II so bad?
Why was Richard II so bad?
Well he seemed like a petulant child is some respects, but in general I just don’t get what the problem was. If you want to dethrone a king there has to be a damn good reason, so what was it? His dethroning precipitated all manner of deaths over more than a hundred years. Maybe he shouldn’t have been dethroned.

Cornfed, have you been drinking again, or is this a normal topic of conversation in that low income neighborhood where you live?
Re: Why was Richard II so bad?
Of course this isn't a normal topic of everyday conversation. That's why it's posted in the History section action of a pro-freethinking forum.
Re: Why was Richard II so bad?
Just to inform people, the overthrow of Richard by his cousin Henry started what is commonly known as the "Wars of the Roses" (the basis for the Game of Thrones novels) which lasted well over 100 years and led to the extermination of much of the male English nobility, so it is somewhat worthy of historical discussion.
