America was set up as a Republic, not a Democracy

The red states and blue states can for the most part be left a lone from the federal government and run themselves(with the federal government taxing the states and not individuals). If I don't like the policies of one state, I can move to another that's more of my liking. For example, If i want Socialized medicine, I can move to a blue state (which there are several). Unfortunately, it would seem Ideologues are not satisfied with some people voluntarily joining them and some not but they are obsessed with controlling everyone to live they way they in vision.
You are 100% right. This would work. Marijuana and abortion in Berkeley, but not in Birmingham. Live and let live.

But you're also right that the control-freaks won't let this happen without a fight.

Still, this is the goal we should keep in mind. Restored Constitution. Feds to coin gold and silver, defend the coasts and borders, and regulate rivers, plus aviation, plus broadcast frequencies (navigable waters clause). Otherwise leave us alone.

Socialism in a state CAN work. Scandinavia proves that. So let it, for those that want it. Let Oregon or Vermont show us how socialized medicine, or a welfare state, etc can work. Let Alabama authorize open-carry for guns, and bring back public executions. Let's see what works.

What I like about this approach, besides the fact that it is Constitutionally correct, is that it unites Left, Right, Libertarian, etc. The oligarchs have achieved and maintained control by dividing us and playing us. If we realizethat we ALL can live in communities that WE control, than we can focus on the common enemy. THEM.

This is exactly what I've been thinking. I don't like Communism because trying to control a massive economy that way just seems impossible - a massive bureaucracy. However, at the state level there are socialistic practices that can work because they are manageable. We shouldn't have so many people voting either. I don't even consider the current government the "American" government any more. If the culture that drafted the Constitution based on Locke and the Magna Carta suddenly becomes a minority, then we no longer have American government. It's the evil of multiculturalism. We let anyone over eighteen vote, but public schools keep them utterly clueless. If the age for election to office is 35, that should be the voting age. Women shouldn't vote either because they make decisions emotionally instead of on logic. They vote for security over freedom.

Here is a new book called "The Myth of American Democracy" that was emailed to me.

I don't understand why Americans or foreigners think that America is a democracy. A democracy is "rule by the majority" and we all know that the majority of people in America do not "rule", nor do they have any control over government policy and action. So the notion of democracy in America is false and senseless. It sounds like a myth that the elite created to give people the illusion of control.
