Lake Nicaragua might be full of salt water soon. This would definitely change the economy and political structure of the region and make Nicaragua a tourist destination.

Why, is this terrorism? Should we nuk'em then knock down and demolish some more skyscrapers because they hate us for our freedoms?

Most of the high skilled jobs building and operating this canal will go to Chinese workers. In a generation the Chinese will own and run Nicaragua.
