I was listening to some Ron Paul videos on Youtube and many of them actually had the sound cut off. There is no question that Youtube is just as controlled as the US media. Anyone who disses Ron Paul is controlled opposition.

Very astute comment. It unfortunately describes in a nutshell (nut being the key here) the ridiculous level of influence that this historically fringe group of Christians (i.e. Evangelicals) has over the most powerful nation in the world. Scary, eh? It's not so much different than the "Twelvers" sect of Shiite Islam that Ahmadinejad is a part of, and which we like to tout as being the source of such a threat to the US. The US government is heavily influenced by fringe religious zealots, which drives much of our foreign policy, our domestic policy, and our social fabric (e.g. death penalty, abortion, etc.), all ultimately in the name of protecting Israel. They "support" Israel only insofar that they believe by doing so, they will bring the "Nation of Israel" into God's salvific fold, before their self-ordained doomsday arrives. As if they could force God's hand to bring about the End Times, anyhow. How arrogant. The Jews only put up with this insult, because it garners HUGE profits from the US that go to prop up the Israeli state.

On another note, did you see that US soldier get cut off by Blitz Wolfer on CNN last night, just as he was telling Israel to take care of itself and not have US soldiers and taxpayers foot their bill anymore. Captain Obvious is calling! Surprised that the post on this forum that brought it up didn't get more play.
You mean this video:

Here's another video of that piece of garbage Wolf Blitzer trashing Ron Paul right in front of Mitt Romney:

Very astute reply to a very astute comment!! I copy and paste a lot of your stuff as a reminder of life, man. Have you moved out of Italy yet?

I'm still in Italy, trying to make the most of it. Personally, I find at least this part of Italy boring, socially. No night life. Very old population. It's definitely not Spain.

That being said, the immigration folks have told me that in order to keep my residency here, I cannot work outside of Italy for 2 years, so I'm sort of stuck, it seems. They only gave me a temporary permit of stay (2 years) after which I apply for a 5 year permit, which allows me to work in another country. So, I'll try to make the most of it.

My son is starting to walk and say words, though, and he's really developing a strong personality. He's also built like an ox, which makes me proud! :)

Awwwwwww how cute. I love kids, man. I am glad that your wife didn't assrape you in American courts when you guys had lived in America. She seems like a good woman whom made the best of it when times got rough and sticks with you while times are very good.
I am happy that an extension of you (i.e. your little man) is making you proud. :O)

I hope that you and her child will have both of you guys functionally in his life at least until he's fully independent making his own way in life. I would hate to see him without both of you guys integrally in his life.

Italian immigration sounds like they don't mind your stay but that they have rules to adhere to keep Italy running with some diplomacy. You'll find your way though. I wish you and your family luck, dude.
