Ukraine is fighting back against a Russian spring offensive as footage shows its tanks breaching Dragon's Teeth fortifications to move onto Vladimir Putin's territory in Belgorod.
The video shows Ukrainian forces close to the village of Demidovka on the border between the two countries.

------------------

Separately, Ukraine was seen in a bomb strike on a Putin command post in occupied Kherson region.
'Thanks to the professional skills of Ukrainian pilots, the concrete structure was completely destroyed,' said Kyiv's armed forces general staff.
'The losses are being clarified, but 20-to-30 occupiers were killed,' the General Staff reported.
But Ukraine has warned the West that Russia is ignoring Donald Trump's peace moves and has doubled the number of military assaults on the frontline.

Yohan, the average Russian lives below the poverty line because putin stole much of the country's wealth. That's why some say he's the richest in the world. The Russians should rise up and overthrow him like the Romanians did to Nicolae Ceaușescu or the Italians did to Mussolini.
There are quite a few video on youtube which are about poverty in Russia.

Britain is to build hundreds of thousands of drones to be sent to the Ukrainian frontline as part of a £450 million aid package.
UK Defence Secretary John Healey boasted the move would support UK jobs and boost economic growth as well as supporting Ukraine against Russia.
The military drones project was announced as Western allies gathered in Brussels for the Ukraine Defence Contact Group, chaired by the UK and Germany.

The drones will be paid for from Britain’s record £4.5 billion military support package for Ukraine and from a donation from Norway.
-----
The contact group consists of 50 nations working together to coordinate their military support for Ukraine, to ensure the fastest delivery of supplies.
-----
Ukraine is also purchasing radar systems, anti-tank mines and anti-drone capabilities from funds secured by the contact group.
-----
Last night, it was reported that the US’s ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink intends to resign. She was nominated by former president Joe Biden.
If confirmed, she would be one of the highest-ranking diplomats to leave the State Department since President Trump took office.
It seems that Europe will in future have to deal with Russia and will continue to support Ukraine without USA. Why not?

Russia doesn't engage in war crimes because Russia is very concerned about what the leaders of China and the rest of the BRICS countries think of Russia....
Shemp, are you not aware what nonsense you are posting here on this forum?

International Criminal Court arrest warrants for Russian leaders

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internati ... an_leaders
On 17 March 2023, following an investigation of war crimes, crimes against humanity and genocide, the International Criminal Court (ICC) issued arrest warrants for Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, and Maria Lvova-Belova, Russian commissioner for children's rights, alleging responsibility for the war crime of unlawful deportation and transfer of children during the Russo-Ukrainian War....

As of June 2024, the ICC has also issued arrest warrants for Viktor Sokolov, Sergey Kobylash, Sergei Shoigu and Valery Gerasimov, all of whom are officers in the Russian military accused of directing attacks at civilian objects and the crime against humanity of "inhumane acts" under the Rome Statute.
In May 2022, Putin ordered to simplify the issuance of Russian citizenship to Ukrainian orphan children. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine emphasized that by doing this, "Putin effectively legalized the abduction of children".

In August 2022, Gyunduz Mamedov, Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine in 2019–2022, said that the deportation of Ukrainian children to Russia (more than 300,000 according to the Russian Federation) is the most promising way to prove genocide.

In September 2022, Lvova-Belova, holding the office of the Commissioner for Children's Rights of Russia, described how the abducted Ukrainian children were initially hostile towards Russia and Putin, but after the process of "integration" the children's negative attitude gradually "turned into love".

Britain is backing plans for a Nuremberg-style trial of Vladimir Putin amid calls for Russians to be prosecuted over crimes during invasion of Ukraine

It is understood the UK will join most European nations to back proposals at the Council of Europe to put Russians on trial for 'crimes of aggression' during the invasion of Ukraine.

An ad hoc military tribunal would be set up to prosecute Russian generals and leaders for war crimes, according to plans Britain will back at a meeting of the European human rights organisation next month.

The savage Russian soldiers in the occupied Donetsk region filmed themselves committing the illegal battlefield massacre.
.....

'Ukraine needs justice and responsibility for those who commit crimes and do not adhere to any norms.'

A UN study found in March last year that Russia was continuing to commit serious rights violations and war crimes in Ukraine, including 'systematic' torture and rape.

The high-level Commission of Inquiry (COI) on the rights situation in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion, said that it had found fresh evidence of widespread abuses.

It also voiced concern about the continued use of explosive weapons in civilian areas, confirming 'a pattern of disregard by Russian armed forces for possible harm to civilians'.

'The evidence shows that Russian authorities have committed violation of international human rights and international humanitarian law and corresponding war crimes,' COI chief Erik Mose said at the time.

'Further investigations are required to determine whether some of the situations identified may constitute crimes against humanity,' he added.

@Yohan: as I said, Russia only cares what leaders of China and other countries think, not what USA and its allies think. ICC and Britain are USA allied propaganda. Russia doesn't waste time and effort contesting their lies (or yours).

Of course Shemp would tell us that Ukraine is hiding "military objects" on public trolleybuses. What a fool.

Two Russian ballistic missiles slammed into the centre of the northern city this morning, even though there are no military facilities anywhere near the target area.

German chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz has said Russia has committed a 'serious war crime' after at least 34 people were killed and dozens were injured in a missile strike in Ukraine today.

In a sign that US patience with Russia could be wearing thin, Keith Kellogg, President Donald Trump's envoy to Ukraine, said the attack 'crosses any line of decency'.

Polish prime minister Donald Tusk said: 'The Russian version of a ceasefire. Bloody Palm Sunday.'

French president Emmanuel Macron said: 'Today it is clear Russia alone chooses to continue this war with blatant disregard for human lives, international law and the diplomatic efforts of President Trump.

They hit it on Palm Sunday @Yohan where church goers were gathered. Trump called it 'a mistake'. How do you mistakenly fire ballistic missiles into the centre of a city? I am sure Shemp will have a good explanation for that.

Wow. Trump's pastor just went to Kyiv and changed his mind about Ukraine. He said he now advocates the US continuing its support of Ukraine, not abandoning it. He explains why below. This is powerful. He said the Holy Spirit guided him toward his new position.

The Holy Spirit guides him? Never heard of this guy before. maybe only known within USA. Anyway, his opinion is not important, who cares what he says?

Shemp lives in a fantasy world. Maybe he considers this all as fake news. Interesting to see that all these Putin supporters are not living in Russia, but in USA or in other Western countries.

BTW, after the North Koreans and the Chinese soldiers there are now even African soldiers from TOGO fighting for Putin.

Yes, everyone in the know knows the explanation. Ukraine deliberately concentrated some officers for an awards ceremony in the middle of Sumy city, then invited families and the media to show up, and otherwise widely advertised the gathering so Russia would know about it. Legitimate military target if official military awards ceremony. The goal was to create an atrocity to get the stupid people of Sumy (plenty of people as stupid as Voyager1 and Yohan in Sumy, all the smart ones long ago fled to western Europe) in fighting mood. This is how Zelensky thinks. He's a media star and thinks public support wins wars. Eventually even the stupid ordinary people and soldiers of Ukraine will see through his lies, at which point Ukraine military will collapse.
