CIA-Style Tech Censorship Turned on US Citizens

I watched this video, an interview with Mike Benz, former state department official. I'll summarize some main points and add a few observations. He tells of how the US uses propaganda to influence foreign elections. There is a group Obama dubbed 'the blob'... a conglomoration of military and intelligence interests in the US government, the state department which supports American business interests such as capital, energy, etc. He tells of how Trump threatened the interests of the blob.

The blob wants to keep the world order together, which includes the supply chains, financial system, international trade, the IMF, NATO and the EU. Popular movements partly fueled by the Internet led to Brexit, which they saw as a threat to the system. They also feared a Frexit, which could lead to the unraveling, potentially, of the EU, and then possibly NATO. Trump would say things about not supporting NATO, so the blob saw him as a threat.

The CIA had long used propaganda and had used online methods to influence foreign elections in US interests, but it is illegal for the CIA or the state department to do this in US elections. So what they did was to back up private companies like Newsguard. In the event of Biden beating Trump in the election, they had a plan prepared to censor the Internet, using CIA tactics on US citizens, to quell complaints about the US election. Software could even censure peer-to-peer interactions. These sorts of tactics were used during Covid also.

I suppose it is possible that liberals were blind to all this. They probably were happy to see the sudden turn around in the election overnight in favor of Biden, and didn't bother looking up Trump's claims of election fraud as much. Suddenly we had heavy propaganda from journalists that Trump's claims were unfounded, and you couldn't even find examinations of election results or expression of concern on Google. I was using the old Webcrawler site to get some kind of news on the topic. Social media censored comments on it. A kind of right wing social media company, Parler, and Amazon shut down their web hosting.

With AI, they could track posts and individual messages. They censored people. A lot of conservatives experienced this. It was very obvious.

For a while between 2016 and 2017 after Trump's election that the blob folks and 'elites' were questioning whether 'democracy' was good. Then they just basically redefined it. Apparently these folks do not believe that the governed should be able to vote for candidates who want to unravel aspects of the system they don't like.

It wouldn't bother me so much about 'deep state' elites, business interests, etc. having so much influence over politics if they didn't back social trends that are so damaging to society-- child castration, homosexuality, extreme feminism, etc. And they try to push this garbage on Africa and the rest of the world.

I'm not sure what that has to do with CIA-style techniques used for Internet censorship or the deep state opposing Trump, but I use the NKJV, to a lesser extent the ESV, because it is on my phone, and interlinears.
