I don't believe that a creator would have a Chosen people. Maybe a spirit or a god in a polytheist religion would have a Chosen people or chosen city but I believe that if there was a monotheist creator then there wouldn't be a Chosen people. Everyone would be equal in a Creator's eyes or it wouldn't have been created. A creator would erase everything and begin again. It's logical reasoning.

An example would be how the Athenians were the "Chosen People" of the goddess Athena in Ancient Greece. Polytheism allows different deities to choose favorites.

If someone were to say that one race, one city, or one country was the "Chosen People" of a monotheist god that created everything, then that would be illogical (a logical fallacy) being that is likened to claiming Racial Superiority or proclaiming your own supremacy except it uses religious rhetoric instead of political rhetoric. That's why I can't accept that anyone is Chosen or Superior under a monotheist religion.

Sadly, God's workings do not need your acceptance, or the approval of your logical reasoning.

This discussion played out dramatically in the oldest book in the Bible, The Book of Job. I recommend it. William Safire's commentary on the Book of Job may also be worth reading.

My personal two cents is that God often works THROUGH existing forms (e.g. Semitic tribalism), and is not always a fanatical destroyer (e.g. The Flood).
