A DeMotte man is the fourth person to be charged in connection with a Sept. 7 home invasion in southern Porter County where the homeowner was shot in the leg.
A probable cause affidavit filed Wednesday said he was part of a plan conceived by the victim’s girlfriend to break into a safe and steal cash from the victim.
Police say she, with the help of her twin sister, arranged the burglary.
Scheming slore told police she arrived home while the men were at the house and was grabbed by one of the men and taken to the barn.
But the victim told police the men did nothing to her and were not alarmed she was with them. The victim said when the men threatened his children he opened the safe.
